Just heard it on the ESPN draft special. Don't really know the details though.

Because they have failed to redo his contract. I thought Driver was a good guy... guess not.

If he wants to go somewhere that will give him the money he thinks that he deserves, I doubt the penny pinching Eagles are going to pick him up

The news just had it on that it's not true and Walker just made it up and told ESPN. However, they could be wrong.

Walker is a troublemaker if he did make it up, that's just annoying.I really did think a contract argument and a trade/release demand from Driver was really uncharacteristic though.

Driver Refutes Report He's an Unhappy PackerApril 27, 2006 06:53 PMAccording to sources, Donald Driver is refuting an ESPN report that he, like Javon Walker, is unhappy with his contract and wants to be traded or released.Driver has two years left on a five-year, $11 million extension he signed in 2002. That deal included a four-million dollar signing bonus. Since then, Driver has been the Packers' number-one receiver, and it could be argued that he has outperformed the deal.Driver and his agent were talking to the Packers about his contract last December. Sources close to Driver said Thursday he has no plans to hold out or make any demands of the team to rework his deal. From my local news: http://www.wbay.com/Global/story.asp?S=4830032&nav=menu24_4

"I never said anything. I'm showing up for practice. Whoever said that story, they don't know anything because they never talked to me."Driver also said he has had discussions with the Packers about a contract extension. He has two years remaining on his contract, which pays him a base salary of $1.36 million next season and $1.84 million in 2007.The Packers open their first minicamp under new coach Mike McCarthy on May 5."I've never been sad in Green Bay," he said. "The media writes what they want to write. That is just part of the game. You will see me at practice on Friday."Driver said there was no timeline on completing his contract extension and he intended to play at least the next two seasons in Green Bay.</div>http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/GB/9406545I knew it was really uncharacteristic of Driver to demand a trade or to complain about his situation in GB...
