Starting Simons over Scoot is giving me flashbacks of Nate McMillan.

Sharpe vs Thybulle......I have gone back and forth on this and have come to the conclusion it makes no difference. But Thybulle is the right call if they want to get Ayton, Grant, and Ant all touches early. Sharpe will still get more minutes than Tisse.

I actually think that Sharpe is at his most dangerous when he is playing the Brandon Roy role, he is a PG and the fulcrum of the offense in all but name, so getting him to be that guy is the most important thing for his development at this point. I think it makes more sense to do that in the 2nd unit at this point.

Roy was a shooting guard. He does need to ball in his hands to create but that doesn't make him a pg. imo

will be nice having Sharp and Brog coming off the bench, some nice size and firepower there

I hope Brog can get some time with Robert Williams.

Roy was the de facto PG of Portland's offense. Sure, on paper, Blake was the PG - but if you look at the USG% in a random year (I chose 2008-2009 randomly), Roy had a USG% of 27.4%, Blake was at 17% - Roy was a much bigger part of initiating the offense than Blake was. Blake was more of a PG on defense, but Roy the offensive fulcrum of the team, just like Jokic is the offensive fulcrum of the Nuggets.

Plus the fact refs often call more fouls early in a game to set the tone. I would hate to have Sharpe get in early foul trouble-guarding someone like Kawhi and be sent to the bench. Thybulle on the other hand gets more respect from the refs.

Brogdan, Sharpe, Camara, Walker, RW3 seems like a tough 2nd unit :dunno:

Was WAY better than this years 2nd unit.

Unless we're putting the 3x premium on "potential"
