Grant should be benched for that. A 4-1 break with Shae ready for a lob and he throws the ball out of bounds behind the deepest trailer? What a joke from the veteran.

Sharp is being wasted as a spot up corner shooter. He's more aggressive with the ball in his hands. I understand the idea playing him with the bench.

I was just going to post the same thing. There is ZERO chemistry right now.

Nah, we get to watch Scoot start with what we just saw and see how much better he can get.

He looked really good in the first two games.

    He looked okay against Utah.

He looked really bad against Phoenix.

He has looked even worse than the last game of preseason.

I get that he's 19, but his confidence has been getting progressively worse with every game. I think it's something to be mildly concerned about. Shaedon was supposed to be a project. Scoot was not.

Fair... but there's so little that's the same as last season that Chauncey might have just decided to build his offense from scratch later around the things he sees on the court... it sucks now, but hopefully this is the work that'll lead to grows by Game 41.

It’s hard not to overreact with how bad Scoot looks.

We need to have Scoot have the ball in his hands and run a PNR, I mean wtf is even happening? Also, Ant and Grant both seem to ignore Sharpe, or they are just always calling their own number.

    About what I expected.

    Some things I’m disappointed in

    1. Our defense is still trash.
    2. Our offense is still ISO oriented

    Questions

    1. Will Scoot ever score in his NBA career?
    2. Can I live long enough to just see another winning season?

Scoot ends his 1st half with 0 points, 0 assists, 3 turnovers and 0-5 shooting.

I think people expected him to struggle a bit out of the gate.....but not to look completely lost. Pre-game jitters, or whatever, he will get better. He has to, because that is about as bad of a half as one can have.

well not to be a disagreer... but russ has sure accomplished what he was hoping to in tonights game --- which was to get into Scoota's head.. now truly he had a whole lot of help from Zubac.. but thats what russ likes to do..

scoot will be better for it..

betcha hes never gonna forget the travesty that was this first half hahahah.. i sure know ayton wont either.. they've gotta be fuming..

Well the good news is Scoot our PG is tied with Grant our PF for rebounds with 1.

Not that it really matters, but Grant playing the 4 is such a disaster. Ayton and Williams seemed to be getting overwhelmed on the defensive glass because Grant has an aversion to getting rebounds.

Again, this might be nitpicking, but 0 defensive rebounds out of your starting 4 in 17 minutes is not good.

I will say this Ant an especially Grant are going to annoy me all year forcing up shots that are trash. If they are open by all means, but we are young so they are going to force so much
