1 - Donte Whitner, S - Ohio St.1 (f/ CHI) - John McCargo, DT - NC St.3 - Ashton Youboty, CB - Ohio St.
No offense man, but what were you guys thinking with those reaches in the first round. Great pic of Youboty in the third though.
I think the Donte Whitner pick can be considered a reach but supposedly the Lions, Browns, and Rams were high on him and Michael Huff was off the board.( I was shocked at first and still am but I like Donte Whitner a lot, think he's a real good player. I just think we definetly could of had him if we traded down a few slots. )John McCargo had a late 1st - early 2nd round grade.( Some people feel it was a reach, I don't really and I think it fills a big time need for our Defense. )Ashton Youboty is an awesome pick in the 3rd.Whitner is a S and Youboty is a CB. I'm glad you like Youboty, want a cookie?

You could have traded down and gotten Whitner easily or not traded up as high and got McCargo and not had to give up as much and gotten McCargo. IMO.
Kiper even said himself when the Bills drafted, that he thought McCargo was a caliber of a late 2nd round to early 3rd round pick. Definitley a reach and as for Whitner it was just dumb. Huff is a lot better than him, and there was much more talent taken later on. I'm not saying Whitner isn't good, he just wasn't worth the spot.
Capt.I know Huff is better than Whitner....But Huff was drafted at 7 by the Raiders therefore we never had a shot at him.
Yeah but the Bills didn't have to blow their first overall pick on Whitner when they could have gotten someone around the same talent as Whitner later on (maybe even better)
Day 2:4- Ko Simpson, FS(SUPER STEAL here, alot of people had him as a early 2nd round pick and some had him as a mid 1st for a while.)5- Kyle Williams, DT5- Brad Butler, OT6- Keith Ellison, OLB7- Terrance Pennington, OT7- Aaron Merz, OGI'm real excited about the Ko Simpson pick, that made my day 2. What a steal!
