Harden's situation just shows how immature he and some other NBA players are. Folks put up with so much shit from NBA players due to their skills but as that declines...so does a player's ability to play GOD with the organization they play on. Harden is going through that awareness in the most public way right now. Sadly....he going through this in the worst way possible and IMO destroying his NBA legacy.

I mean, his legacy has always bee as a shooter who gets tunnel vision and focuses on himself to the detriment of his team (and cheesed the rules to get free throws), so this doesn't exactly go against that. He and Russell "I miss shots to get my own rebound for the triple double" Westbrook were perfect for each other in the way they were both toxic but somehow made their team better...?
 
I respectfully disagree. I hate the Clippers as much as I hate Harden. I think he would destroy them from within. Kawhi would go insane seeing his defense. PG wouldn't get the ball as much. The team would be capped into the future.

If we could profit from their destruction, I'm all in.

Rockets Pursued Deal with James Harden Until He Made Scoring Ambitions Clear, Per Report

On Wednesday’s First Take, Smith said a “very reliable source” told him that the Rockets were set to offer Harden a max deal. But Houston and new coach Ime Udoka pulled back when Harden said that he wanted to win another scoring title.
That ambition, expressed over the desire to win an NBA championship, apparently turned off a new coach who sought a more team-oriented approach.

Harden won three consecutive NBA scoring titles from 2017 through ’20. In the three seasons since then, Steph Curry and Joel Embiid have led the league in scoring average.

Perhaps this explains Harden’s desire to get out of Philadelphia. He likely won’t win another scoring title while playing with Embiid. But building a team around a player scoring more than 30 points per game (Embiid’s 33.1 points per game average led the league last season) isn’t the way Ukoka wanted to conduct his business.

If true, this is an astounding contention. As Smith said, Harden talked himself out of a possible contract worth more than $200 million, not to mention returning to the team with whom he played nine seasons. Was another scoring title worth all that?

how can one recap his legacy and not mention being an all time choker in big games and his man boobs?

Only way for it to be only expirings (Morris/Batum/Roco) would be if the Sixers also included House.

I'd think Morris/Powell for Harden would be a simpler salary match, and would work better for the Sixers as well.

how can the clippers possibly afford him? Westbrook,pg,kawai?
I mean how far over the cap are they already? And how much help would he actually be? They looked really good the other night and as long as Westbrook keeps his shooting in check, he might be in a great spot for his skillset. They looked fierce last night.
