Be a great thing to do with Trump's New York properties to start with.

Idea for new reality show: a group of homeless immigrants move into Trump's "30,000 sf" apartment in Trump Tower. Hijinks ensue.

I have an idea how to help with the housing crisis (tho it's not necessarily something that the Gov't can or should do).

Lower the interest rate and lower the insanely inflated cost of a house.

Or just do it for me, fuck the rest of you all (I'm obviously joking).

IMO the government should encourage more dense and walkable cities and Urban areas. Remove single family zoning.

If people want to build 6 houses (or an apartment building) safely where their current house is now they should be allowed to do so.

Oh, and get rid of minimum parking requirements.

There’s also insanely dumb zoning laws in Portland still, and I am sure other large cities. There’s massive incentive not to change zoning laws, along with some legacy stupid thinking that prevents local government from changing it. IE the “industrial” sections in inner SE and NW which could be rezoned for redevelopment. But they don’t, thus creating artificial scarcity and inflating property prices in the areas that are zoned high density.
