The blazers +/- is terrible at -5.6. Of course, that's a lot better than the Heat and the Bucks, lol.
I'm finally getting the opportunity to watch the Toronto win... the Blazers look like a brand-new expansion team, and I mean this affectionately. We're going to be good once we learn how to play with each other.
It's going to be interesting to see where it goes. There's talent that hasn't been fully developed and talent that hasn't been utilized as much as it could be. Plus Simons being out.
I think it'll take a couple of years to find our real identity, but I'm excited after seeing these flashes.
For so many seasons, it looked like the Blazers were trying to swim upstream in a dry creek bed. Well the tide has turned. A nice swell is starting to fill the creek bed. All oars are manned in the new boat. It will be fun to watch how well they can row together, and how far they make it back upstream.
I know Simons doesn't bring the defense that Thybulle does, but I can't be the only person who would love Simons to be on the other end of a great pass like this from Scoot to the 3-point line. Actually, it could be Brogdon too. He's an even higher-percentage 3-point shooter than Simons. Thybulle is now at 31% for the few games of this season. By the way, this pass by Scoot is awesome.
and here's the graph. Actually happy that defense is, at least momentarily, above the x-axis. Offense will improve.
The offense seems to be getting a little better each game. There are still so many areas where it can improve.
I don’t see it Kiki was smooth Grant always looks so awkward unless it’s just a set shot off an open look. Feels like Grant is always struggling to force a shot kind of drives me nuts. Grant looked better when he was 2nd or 3rd option
I admit it’s more about the “range-y forward who seems allergic to rebounding and scores a lot but ultimately isn’t what a winning team needs” I just hope we get more than Byron Irvin for Grant
