Wow, Beavers got a huge bump in the polls for beating Colorado. https://www.espn.com/college-football/rankings
Unfortunately they still have to play both Washington and Oregon and odds are slim they will win either game.
Oregon State coach Jonathan Smith earns a one-year contract extension with Beavers’ win over Colorado
$5 million a year seems really cheap for him. Especially with openings most likely at schools like USC, UCLA and Michigan St. And no, I'm not trying to troll you guys. Beavers are my 2nd favorite team, one of my good friends from high school was QB 1 for OSU. But somehow you have to get him more money. With so much turbulence and unknowns facing OSU sports, he's the best thing you have.
It's going to be a problem for sure. I'm not so sure I trust you just yet but I'll try to take you seriously on this one. Dogs are a bit fickle and they are food motivated most of the time.
Where do you rank Smith as a coach? Top 50, he's paid right. Top 25, he's underpaid. Personally, I would say based on what he's done at OSU, he's a Top 15 coach.
Great start times for the last two home games - very much appreciate not getting home from Corvallis at 1AM after a 7:30PM kickoff.
Beavers need to take care of business today. Can't let that 2-5 record fool you. That team can play. Just beat the Cougs and they played the Huskies very tough.
