I had a spontaneous pneumothorax at 17. The fact that it happened to him twice is an obvious bad sign.

I couldn't imagine. I hope he recovers well. I'll always be a CJ fan.

He was 10 in 2001. There were 18 games to miss in 5th grade ball?

Legend had his bag thanks to Olshey. Crabbe and Evan...
CJ has his bag because he's got exeptional basketball skills. I didn't like his tunel vision but "thanks to Neil" is a weak take.

Hasn't CJ had a variety of freak or random injuries? I seem to remember a foot or ankle around his rookie season and a few others.Where's the place to find that data?

he's had several injuries, especially early in his career including his senior season at Lehigh. Most have been less serious. Almost all players have a few 'less serious' injuries. He was quite durable from 2015-20, missing 21 games in 5 seasons with 12 of those missed games being in 2018-19

as he's aged he's had more injuries and missed more games, which is fairly common. The last time he had a collapsed lung, in 2021, he missed 18 games

I tried to google NBA players' injury histories but didn't have much sucess

Yup, that's what I was thinking. All I found on google was numerous different news articles. Not worth my time to read each one and tally them up. I just thought CJ's had been more obscure than the standard rolled ankle, back spasms, etc. etc.
