A reported decision by Hudson Booksellers not to sell Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene's upcoming memoir has sparked outrage among a number of conservatives.

Georgia Republican Greene's tell-all book, MTG, is set to be released on November 21. According to its publisher, the book "shares the story of her incredible ascension from small town business owner to MAGA firebrand."

In October, it was revealed that Greene, who is an avowed supporter of former President Donald Trump, has used quotes from some of her biggest political adversaries on the back of the book.

However, its rollout appears to have hit something of a stumbling block, as Hudson Booksellers—a ubiquitous presence at airport terminals across the U.S.—has opted not to stock Greene's memoir.

According to the Washington Examiner, Hudson Booksellers said in an email to Donald Trump Jr.'s Winning Team Publishing of its MTG book: "We wish you luck with your publishing endeavors, but we will not be carrying your title."

Per the publication, Hudson Booksellers explained that its "selection is highly subjective" and based on "sales history." The company is quoted as adding: "Our stores are small and our shelf space is limited so we have to make tough decisions about our title mix."

In a post shared on X on Wednesday, Trump Jr. expressed his outrage, as he accused Hudson Booksellers of "censorship," while also claiming that a number of other conservative figures' books have not been carried by the retailer.

Included in those whose works he says were rejected by Hudson Booksellers are Fox News host and former New York state judge Jeanine Pirro, Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake, and conservative broadcaster Mark Levin.

"CENSORSHIP!" Trump Jr. wrote, before tagging the accounts of those reportedly affected. "@HudsonBooks refuses to carry AMERICA FIRST authors! They refused to carry @WinningTeamPub authors @JudgeJeanine & @KariLake.

"Now they are refusing @mtgreenee at airport bookstores! I also learned that they refused @marklevinshow best selling book. Why are they ignoring the silent majority?"

As one of the parties named in Trump Jr.'s post, Lake urged her followers to boycott Hudson Booksellers in response to her work reportedly being overlooked.

"Don't spend your hard-earned money with @HudsonBooks—the main bookstore at airports—until they are willing to sell America First authors," she wrote.

Joining in the outrage, one X user commented: "ALL PUBLISHERS MUST CARRY ALL AUTHORS' BOOKS ALWAYS AND FOREVER!!!!!!"

Greene has yet to directly comment on the report, though she did repost a comment from Washington Examiner columnist Paul Bedard, who wrote that it was "wrong to pass over conservative authors, both sides should be displayed."

Trump Jr.'s post also sparked widespread derision, with a number of X users pointing out that Hudson Booksellers has no obligation to carry the memoirs.

Yale University Professor Howard P. Forman wrote: "The cancel caucus is upset that a bookseller doesn't want to carry rubbish in their stores."

"Buy all your books from @HudsonBooks from now on," read another comment. "They refuse to sell conspiracy theory pushing, fact-denying, lie-driven books by right-wing extremist & MAGA cultists. That's *not* censorship, that's A SMART BUSINESS DECISION!"

Referencing the series of boycott calls from conservatives in the culture wars of recent months, another X user responded that Hudson Booksellers is a "private company," adding: "Isn't that the MAGA GOP battle cry—private companies shouldn't be forced to do things against their values?? Exactly. Works both ways. No LBGTQ wedding cakes, NO [right-wing] MAGA CRAZY BOOKS!"

Newsweek has contacted representatives of Hudson Booksellers via email for comment.

According to its website, Winning Team Books, which was co-founded by Trump Jr. in 2021, publishes books by "authors who represent the Silent Majority, America First patriots, and liberty minded readers." It previously published former President Donald Trump's book Letters From Trump, as well as Crimes Against America by Pirro.

Last month, Greene teased that her book included quotes from her political adversaries.

Posting the front and back cover of MTG on X, Greene wrote in the caption: "I just got my first copies of my book MTG!! It will be out right before Thanksgiving!!"

Mockingly, the Congresswoman used quotes from some of her biggest detractors, including Democrats Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on the back cover in a clear swipe at some of her political enemies.

It even includes a quote from President Joe Biden: "Isn't she amazing?" The remark comes from when Biden mocked the Georgia representative in March of this year during the Democrat annual retreat in Baltimore.

Former presidential candidate Clinton is quoted as saying: "This woman should be on a watch-list. Not in Congress."

Another quote, from former Speaker Pelosi reads: "MTG is a cause for trauma and fear among members of Congress."

"Marjorie Taylor Greene makes it clear yet again that she cannot be trusted," a line from Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) reads. Fellow Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez is also on the back cover, saying: "She must be expelled…"

The publisher says of the book: "Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene reveals her personal account of the battles she fights in the halls of Congress and beyond.

"Known for her humor and honesty, MTG offers a never-before-seen glimpse at her decision to give up private sector success for public service, her unfiltered views on the most important issues facing our nation, and the personal sacrifices that come with being 'the most dangerous woman in Washington.'

"No other book pulls back the curtain on Washington, the swamp, and the Democrat political elite like MTG. MTG's story will inspire anyone who has ever felt that their voice isn't powerful enough to make a difference."

Greene first announced the book in September.

"I wanted people to hear my side of the story," she said at the time.

I can't believe the left felt that To Kill a Mockingbird was too racist and got it removed from the reading up in Washington.

All these books banned because they might make white people uncomfortable, including To Kill A Mockingbird. I agree it is a story told by a white girl and readers don't really know Black characters except perhaps Calpurnia, who is still seen through a white child's eyes. I oppose book bans. Teach in context.
Like Oliver Twist and Merchant of Venice, both gallingly anti-Semitic.

Republicans are the party of the whiner, because that's all they seem to do. Or know how to do. Donald Trump has far and away earned the title of Biggest Whiner In The World (okay, okay, so he has to share it with Luka Doncic. But still.....), followed by Marge Green, Lauren Dilbert, Kari(on and on and on) Lake, Don Jr and Eric Trump, et al. Say what you will about Biden, Schiff, Harris, etc, etc, etc, they don't whine. With the Republicans it's non frickin' stop, like a faucet beyond repair. And they are the ones who gave the world the term "snowflake". The irony is so thick it has rust on it.........

The teachers in Washington are liberal and were citing black students and saying that the use of the n word was harmful to their students. They said it’s a book about a white savior. This is a good example of how both sides can be absolutely moronic about book bans.

I understand and they are actually correct about the white savior and seeing events through the eyes of a white child. But there is still a lot good in the book. It's why I say context.

And while these were liberals, fact is, the right has been the devoted book banners. The well funded grossly misnamed Moms for Liberty trying to take over school boards. Threatening teachers and librarians with prison. Circulation lusts of hundreds of books to challenge, none of which they have read.

But a small bookstore making a business decision that a given book will sell poorly and therefore they won't carry it is not censorship.

As do I. In fact I am convinced my books reproduce when I am not looking. They seem to increase.
