Wait what….. Sudafed works. What are they asking about?

If I have a cold I usually go with alkaseltzer and that lessens the effects. For extreme cold symptoms I think Sudafed works wonders.

OTC Sudafed doesn't do anything for me. But if we get the stuff from the pharmacy (the real sudafed, with pseudoephedrine) it works well.

Absolutely. You have to get real Sudafed. It’s in limited supply currently because of the high demand due to flu/Covid/rsv season.

“What are the active ingredients in Alka-Seltzer effervescent products? All effervescent products contain anhydrous citric acid (antacid) and sodium bicarbonate (antacid). Alka-Seltzer Original, Extra Strength and Lemon-Lime also contain aspirin (analgesic). Alka-Seltzer Gold contains potassium bicarbonate (antacid).”

Take a Tums and an aspirin for the same effect.

Vicks vapor rub on the feet covered with clean white socks and gargling with salt water are my go to.

Still prefer chicken soup. Smells much better than Vicks.

Once upon a time in the small town of Cedar Grove, nestled between rolling hills and whispering pines, lived an eccentric old woman named Edna. She was known for her peculiar remedies and strange habits, which made her the talk of the town.

Edna's quaint cottage sat at the edge of town, its paint fading and shutters creaking in the wind. Despite her eccentricities, the townsfolk respected her wisdom and sought her advice when conventional medicine failed. One chilly autumn evening, young Emily fell ill with a stubborn cold that refused to relent.

Desperate for a solution, Emily's mother, Mrs. Thompson, decided to pay a visit to Edna's cottage. The old woman welcomed them in, her eyes twinkling with a mysterious knowledge that seemed to transcend the years.

"Ah, my dear, I have just the remedy for such ailments," Edna exclaimed, leading them to a cluttered shelf filled with peculiar jars and bottles.

She handed Mrs. Thompson a small jar of Vicks Vapor Rub and a pair of clean white socks. "Rub a generous amount of this on her feet before bedtime and make sure she wears these socks. It works wonders, my dear."

Skeptical but willing to try anything, Mrs. Thompson followed Edna's instructions that night. She massaged Emily's feet with the soothing ointment and pulled the clean white socks over them. As they waited for the remedy to take effect, Edna shared stories of the town's history, weaving tales of healing and mystery.

The next morning, to everyone's surprise, Emily woke up feeling remarkably better. The persistent cold had loosened its grip, and her spirits were lifted. Mrs. Thompson couldn't believe the effectiveness of Edna's unconventional remedy.

Over the years, Edna's reputation as the town healer grew, and her remedies became legendary. The townsfolk began to embrace her quirky wisdom, turning to her for advice on various ailments. Vicks Vapor Rub on the feet covered with clean white socks and gargling with salt water became the go-to remedies for the people of Cedar Grove.

As the years passed, Edna continued to dispense her unconventional wisdom, leaving a legacy of healing that transcended the ordinary. The town that once questioned her methods now revered her as a wise elder, and the memory of Edna's remedies lingered in every household.

And so, in the quiet town of Cedar Grove, nestled between rolling hills and whispering pines, the tradition persisted. Vicks Vapor Rub on the feet covered with clean white socks and gargling with salt water were the enduring rituals, a testament to the eccentric wisdom of a woman who had turned the peculiar into the miraculous.

I was in line at the store behind some dude a while ago who was clearly there to make jokes. Literally told the cashier that “He feels like he’s backwards. His nose runs and his feet smell.”

Aspirin with upset stomach is a bad idea. Aspirin can cause or worsen stomach upsets. Tums or equivalent and chamomile tea.
