Bottom line, we dodged a bullet, being rid of that albatross contract and getting a pretty decent trade return will be IMO looked back upon as a huge win for whatever reasons it happenned
Yeah, I'd say the WCF year was his best year. But any of the years between 18-21 are up there given how crappy the supporting cast was. Last year, he had one of his better supporting casts.
I’m not convinced that Dame suddenly fell off, BUT this is why I wanted to trade him. His value and what we could actually get back to help a rebuild would only continue to decrease as he ages.
Hate seeing people pour dirt on Dame’s name. Hope he comes back with a vengeance and has another all-nba year.
He did all that to himself, sorry but your hate is misplaced in this circumstance. Nobody respected him more than me before this summer. I don't hate him, I am just massively disappointed in him and how he handled my favorite franchise.
Dame is in the midst of divorce, if it was her that filed and he didn't want it, he's probably struggling more than people realize. Even if he filed, all the bs with attorneys and such could be distracting.
Early favorites for 6 all NBA guards: Luka, Edwards, Kyrie, Curry, Maxey, Shai not to mention Halliburton. And Fox and Murray if they get healthy, I don’t think Dame can pass any of those guys. I didn’t even mention Booker and Jrue. Dame should make All Star team though.
Glad we got the trade done. I wouldn't expect him to continue to play this bad. Also wouldn't be surprised if he has a significant dropoff yes partly from age, but also not having the whole teams offense and defense structured to feature him. Now he needs to be in CJ's role. He hasn't done that since his early 20s in his third season.
I think it's hilarious after 8 games that you "don't think Dame can pass any of those guys". If Dame puts up numbers close to those he did last season and Milwaukee ends up with the best record in the East... I think he'll be all nba and there's no reason to think he's not capable of getting to those numbers after a slow start.
