Re: McNair & Ravens agree on deal http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story/9418054<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>"quarterback Steve McNair is close to doing the same in Baltimore. The Ravens and McNair have reached agreement on the parameters of a deal that will pay the veteran Pro Bowl quarterback a signing bonus of close to $11 million, and another $1 million in base salary this season.McNair's $12 million take from Baltimore this season exceeds the $9 million he was due to make this season in Tennessee. But last weekend, the Titans gave McNair's representative, Bus Cook, permission to negotiate with the Ravens. It didn't take them long to strike an agreement. Now it's just a matter of how and when the Titans want to end their relationship with McNair".</div>Thought it was necessary to put it here since it involves two teams. This pretty much seals the deal for Mac not being a Titan anymore. The FO was expecting him to take a cut down to $3-4 million and I don't see that happening if the Ravens have $12 mil on the table for him.Personally, I wish they would've just paid him what's in the contract, even if it means overpaying. I know this is a "what-have-you-done-for-me-lately" league, but he's given everything he has to this franchise, has been the face of the Titans since his MVP year in 2003, and gives us the best chance to win over anyone else on the roster or anyone else still out in free agency.
Re: McNair & Ravens agree on deal SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETI think 12 mil is just a tad bit much but oh well.
Re: McNair & Ravens agree on deal You guys are really just a decent QB away from being serious contenders. If (When) you get McNair, watch out.
Re: McNair & Ravens agree on deal Thats gonna be a great addition to the Ravens team. McNair is a all star and a future hall of famer. He is a good leader and a great player to have on your team. I see the Ravens trying to make a play-off appearance this year.

Re: McNair & Ravens agree on deal That's a large bonus. He'll help the Ravens out quite a bit though, when he gets there.

I think neither team makes the playoffs.

We def won't be making the playoffs w/Volek under center. If Baltimore can stay healthy, they're a lock for at least a wild card. They'd be a lot better off if their division wasn't so hard.

Air Mcnair bring experience.. veteran leadership.. and still the tallent, that could help them back in the play offs, and maybe even further, their deffense is still steller, and mcnair could bring the spark on o just to push them over the edge. I dont think their superbowl contenders, but.. their improving... big time
Re: McNair & Ravens agree on deal The Ravens problem is their in the same division as the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals, so they're still only debateably the 3rd best team in their division with how impressive the Cleveland Browns offseason has been also. I bet neither of them make the playoffs.

As good as the Steelers & Bengals D's are, and as bad as the Ravens line was last year, Mac9 is gonna get killed. I wish him the best and he'll still be my favorite player, whether he's a Titan or a Ratbird.
