6'2" 180lb PG, 24yrs. old. Learned to ball at the University of San Francisco. Undrafted in 2022. Just signed a 2-way with Portland. He played spot minutes for a few different teams last year. He has some real NBA stats.
after his first decent game, Bouyea hasn't become a nitro boost for the Blazers reserve unit. in his 5 games Jamaree is shooting 23%, 0-8 from deep. A spatter of boards & assists, no steals or blocks. Hopefully this young man can shake off the butterflies and find a groove. The Blazers sure could use help at the PG spot. Bouyea can get big playing time if he can start hitting shots, run some clean offense.
Watching him play, this is not a surprise. Glad he got the opportunity to make it to the NBA. Unfortunately, he's not talented enough to stick.
the Blazers coveted scouting department landed a dud. Can't be 100% accurate all the time. I was watching Bouyea on the Remix last night, he just looked all out of sorts. Maybe it's the advanced Blazers offensive system? "Everyone run around really fast, but try not to get in each others way. If you get in trouble... pass the ball. Let's do this, Hands up out there, defense on 1, reaadyyy..break! DEFENSE !!!"
Minaya is a better ball handler than this kid was and taller...I'm glad the shortest guard on the roster got waived actually. ('d rather have an insurance big than a 180lb 6'2 guard not named Scoot
??? He was in Phoenix on the varsity team last night. He played the last 2 minutes against the Suns. How did he play for the Remix last night as well?
maybe I'm delusional from watching too much bad Blazer basketball. I was certain Jamaree was stinking it up on the Remix.
