That win felt great and exactly what was needed going into Thanksgiving.

Camara and Walker are going to be on the Blazers bench for a REALLY long time...I can just feel it.

Some guys take time. I can see him being Derrick Rose in his prime type. With better passing.

But after watching this game for years. You can’t write off a player while he’s still in his teens and playing a position that is a hard adjustment.

So what are you saying? Are you going on record as saying Scoot is a bust?

So basically you know more than every GM out there…
Scoot was 2 or 3 by all accounts but you know better, naturally. YOU can spot the special players? Somehow that just seems incredibly unlikely .

Bold statement: Scoot will will himself into the ROY conversation (top 5) by the end of the year.

On a night where we win like this, Scoot’s issues are the least on my mind. Too many good things I saw tonight to care about Scoot’s shooting, that’ll work itself out.

maybe it’s time to lower your expectations of him and this season as a whole. Cus he ain’t goin no where and we’re obviously going to have games where we will struggle to break 90 and then we will have games like this. So real no use of constantly complaining about it unless you wanna just bitch to bitch.

Seems as though some fans on here are still coming to terms with the Lillard exodus

Blazers won points in paint, hit some bombs, forced a bunch of turnovers, hacked the crap outta the Jazz when applicable. This was definitely a fun game.
    TAKE THAT UTAH !!

I loved our energy and how crisp we were. Obviously Bari was huge for us. What I noticed more than anything was how much better we are with real point guards.

    1. Scoot. Let’s be honest. He’s a waisted draft pick. (I put the “i” in there so that I always have a way out of my claim). I don’t believe it was a bad pick. Most say he’d have been #1 in drafts of not for Wemby. I agree with that.

    2. Jesus. Looking at the box, I’m like “How these boys win?” Still scouring the box to see what makes sense in the “W”. But yeah. Doesn’t make add up overall but let’s take it.

We shot 51.1% from the field and 43.6% from three while they were 46.8% from the field and 32.3% from three. We had 13 turnovers and they had 21. Those stats alone should tell you how our team won. We shot really hot and we didn't turn the ball over.

If his issue were turnovers, getting lost on defense etc, that would be one thing, but shooting is the most basic thing in basketball, not something that should be so horrendous due to lack of experience.

And his offense is a special kind of garbage. He's like Chris Dudley offensively. May be time to face the facts that he's probably another in a long line of Blazer busts.

"Scoot will be the next Derrick Rose". Derrick never shot 8% from 3. Derrick knew 3pt shooting was not his strong suit and didn't take very many, whereas almost half of Scoot's attempts are from 3.

I agree he doesn't suck, he's a physical beast. But if he doesn't rework the form on his J he's likely only reinforcing bad mechanics which limits his upside considerably.

Some good things in a blowout win, which will likely be very few and far between.

One thing I really like, is they are playing Matisse a little more at SG. That makes them bigger and when combined with Camara, they are a terror on defense. Add in Grant or Jabari on the court at the same time, and that is a lot of length and activity.
