My wife is 7 years younger than me. Only time if weirded me out was thinking that when I was a senior in HS playing hoops up at the local elementary school after school, she was playing on the playground as a 5th grader! #BAM
Wait? If she did that he would have got better grades. If he gets better grades he doesn’t start cutting lawns. This changes everything!
My wife is four years younger. I think the issue is at what time in life is the age separation ok? I didn't marry until After 40 so no issue, but i would also find it cringeworthy to think about me as a senior in high school and her in 8th grade and dating.
There is physical maturity vs. mental/emotional maturity. I cannot fathom, even when I was 20, wanting to hang out with high schoolers. The idea was repugnant. I was in college and the last thing I would want is to spend time talking about home room. I loathed teenagers, mostly still do.
I saw this happening while watching the OKC - Minnesota game. Josh Giddey is booed by Timberwolves fans every time he handles the ball during the Thunder's in-season tournament game in Minnesota amid police investigation into alleged inappropriate relationship with minor. A social media account claimed Giddey was in a romance with a high school jr.5 hours ago Josh Giddey, the NBA player under investigation for allegedly being in a relationship with an underage girl, has been booed every time he has handled the basketball for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the team's latest league game this week. The Thunder play the Timberwolves for an in-season tournament game in Minnesota on Tuesday night, with fans inside of Target Center loudly jeering Giddey both in the first and second half. OKC lost the game, 103-106. 'Giddey getting loud boos everytime he touches the ball, W fans,' tweeted an NBA fan. 'The boos are getting to Giddy's head,' shared another along with a misplaced pass the Thunder's No. 3. Oklahoma City's coach, Mark Daigneault, said before his team's matchup against the Timberwolves that the NBA's probe into claims Giddey had an improper relationship does not yet prevent the Australian star from playing.
I am sure the NBA probably goes over this with all rookies, but the Blazers need to sit down with our young players and reiterate all the problems that can occur with young groupies. Checking their ID is not enough.
Having a VP from the players union who also has a Masters in leadership & public policy on the roster....is prolly a good thing right about now.
