Disgruntled S Mark Roman said Saturday he asked for the Packers to release him."They said, no, basically. Then it was yeah, well...It was handled badly," he said. "I don't know (if it will happen). While I'm up here all I can do is just play as hard as I can, whatever else happens happens." The Packers drew the ire of Roman when Marquand Manuel was signed.

Since hes under contract hes technically obligated to play with the packers until the remainder of his contract is up and unless the Packers choose to terminate that deal or trade him and take whatever cap penalty it may cause, hes stuck there.
There have been rumors on Packer radio of trading him and a 4th rounder for Julius Jones RB of Dallas
That is what I thought, but hey, I wouldn't complain. It's what I heard as far as rumors go around here, I believe it is false though.

If they thing he has injury issues why would Green Bay even want him? They had such bad injury problems with Runningbacks that they went all the way from Ahman Green to Samkon Gado... don't they want some durability?

But anyways, with our new zone blocking scheme we could really plug in a RB IF needed. Sort of like Denver does every year. Its clear Green isn't in the future plans of the Packers, him and Davenport are short term solutions. This will be a big test this year for Gado, but my guess is we will be drafting a RB at some point in the draft next year.

Next year I think they draft a franchise back regardless of if Favre is there or not though.

Rodgers would struggle and we would have likely wound up with a top 10 pick, perhaps RB Adrian Peterson. WR, RB, and DE are 2 glaring needs for us right now.

He was trying to put the team on his shoulders.

Of course the majority of his interceptions are going to come when they are trailing when they are almost always trailing. Plain and simple, he was not making good decisions with the football and thats nobody's blame but on #4.
