Not saying there aren't unrealistic criticisms being heaped on Simons, but Sharpe at 20/21 is miles and miles better than Simons was at that age.

His game is far more well rounded (even with his lapses and poor handles). But if he all the sudden gets tunnel vision by the time he's 24, maybe some of the similar criticism will be warranted.

I don't think the criticism of Simons game is just because players need a target, as much of its ghosts of issues past.

I.e., he at times will wear blinders.

Personally, it doesn't bother me, as there are times when he's the only player who can create for himself or shoot outside of 15 feet constantly.

His trade value shooting 37-38% or higher is really good given his D and contract, a LOT of teams would want him

I hope he's shooting 100's of shots per day, and working on his technique, who is the Blazers shooting coach/specialist?

All I know is I am tired of losing close games over and over.

    We shouldn’t trade him.

I think that just depends on the offer. Just like Jerami and Malcolm, even though Tisse is younger than both of them, he is a win now player that might have more value on a win now team than he does here. Again it would have to be an offer of a young player or players and/or picks that eclipses what should be a high value that we have on Tisse but honestly the only untouchable player on this roster should be Shaedon. For everyone else it's just a matter of the offer being high enough for us to move away from either their obvious value right now or their projected value in the future.

Tisse is a bargain for what he does and he’s not even in his prime yet. I wouldn’t trade him. It’s not like Hart who is older and was due for a big payday. Tisse is pretty young and plays off the ball. He’s the kind of guy that you want to keep.

I thought I’d pop in and just comment on how much Shaedon has improved his handle. He is a smooth ball handler now. You can tell this kid really works on his game. The sky is the limit for him.

Shaedon is amazing. His only issue is his confidence. When he makes a mistake he takes it hard and gets down on himself, causing his game to diminish. We know how good he is and can be, he just needs to realize that for himself and not let missed shots or other mistakes get him down. He will get there.

Oh, he's going to make lots more mistakes. That's what rookies do. I just want to see him progress and I know that will take time. Doesn't make it any less frustrating seeing him make critical ones in crunch time. I guess that's how he learns though. Maybe I just thought he would be a little bit better out of the gate.

But, shit yeah we even got veterans making mistakes like crazy. Look at Grant. He plays like a rookie sometimes and it's frustrating. Other times he is really good.

The Blazers need to attack the paint more. I know a big issue with that is opponents all do the same thing to us. They pack the paint. They camp in there. I'm surprised there aren't more three in the keys called...well I'm not really surprised.

When the Blazers attack the paint it's almost always a charging foul. They need to work on that. Step around opponents who are setting themselves for the charge.

They also need to work on passing around the paint.
Michael Holton commented during last night's game how poor some of the players still were at passing around the hoop, even with lots of practice before the season.
He made that comment on the weird pass that (I can't remember, Camara?) made to Walker? last night that was some kind of lob. It should have been an easy two points, instead the recipient of the pass had to wait for it then put up a clunky miss.

Hard to pass around the paint when 4 of the 5 players on the other team are all right there smacking the shit out of us.

Actually one of those losses was with a 100% healthy team including Williams.

True. Of course, part of that game he was playing with an injured thumb so I don’t see that it’s much of an indicator of his value to the team.
