I think Brogdon is moved at the deadline. I think Grant gets moved this summer. I think they're keeping Thybulle, unless a great deal comes along. I think we have Ayton until his contract runs out.
I think there’s a good chance a team with someone like Lebron would take a chance on Ayton if it costed no picks, or a couple 2nds, if we really just wanted to shed his salary. That might not happen until next deadline or the season after. If he has a solid stretch to show a team he’s worth a gamble, a couple 2nds for a starting center’s bird rights would be more than worth it.
Ant is also a candidate to be moved this summer I think. It’s a long season, and Scoot is only through like 30% of his first season. Even if people here don’t think Ant is a PG, averaging 6ish apg is at least going to give the impression that he can be one on his own team to another GM. 25/6 at 24 and on a great contract.
me either. What him and scoot were cooking when scoot was starting seemed really promising. How often are they on the floor together? I think the team/chauncey is till trying to figure out how to get Ayton involved more.
People forget we need a minimum salary. I'm disappointed in DA but he's really skilled and he's always looked better with Scoot. We got Tou out of it. We took the right swing whether he's a long term fit or not. I'm kind of thinking not but that's not very relevant right now. I'd imagine the Pacers have interest in Ant, Grant and DA. I want Jarace Walker.
I don’t think Pacers would be interested in Ant. I think Orlando would though, if they don’t go PG hunting at the deadline.
How many other young guards that are available that do what Ant does? I think they'd at least have interest. They may determine the fit might not be great but they'd at least think about it. I think the Blazers are going to be stubborn about letting Ant go. It's not often you find a scorer like this.
Well the point would be to pair Ant with Suggs, who looks like he’s going to be a great two way guard. Ant is an instant upgrade. Anthony is a Collin Sexton/Jordan Clarkson kind of player, and Black isn’t a shooter. I think they’re good enough to compete now—if their forwards are this good this soon, it’s better to gamble on a guard who might be a star than grab a rookie in the 20s.
He is the one who hired Cronin as an intern. And the guy who fired him unceremoniously has been dead for 5 yrs. Doubt the grudge still exists.
Confused why DA wants to trade him. If he is worth 5 FRPs and young and an all-star, then what gives?
