Can you imagine coming back and getting the start in Portland only to get injured once again? He has to be thinking the Moda is cursed? Many of us think this as well.

But it would help the Lakers? Gotta be a better way to go?

To match salary, Lakers would have to add someone like Hachimura.

Note: Game Score was created by John Hollinger to give a rough measure of a player's productivity for a single game. (40 is an outstanding performance, 10 is an average performance.)

Keep that trend line going up!

the kicked ball rule is from the OG days. The idea is players must dribble the ball to advance, they're not allowed to boot the ball out of a scrum, then pick it up. Basketball was designed to be a "hands only" sport. So defensive players cannot deflect the ball with their legs, which could be considered a "foot pass" to teammate.

I'm sure Wiki could give the proper rules of a kicked ball. I'm only throwing some Whyachi blabber out there. I believe another take on no kicking is basketball courts are tiny in comparison to Soccer fields. Gyms, especially in the old days had giant windows and expensive lights right above the action. It's also a little dangerous as basketballs are heavy thick leather bohemoths compared to soccer balls. If everyone was allowed to Rugby kick a basketball, players would get hurt from foot missiles in close quarters, and spectators might be injured from shattered glass. No punting, no FG attempts, no soaring Goalie boots. Dammit, leave the ball on the court and absolutely NO KICKING !!

It's actually terrific defense to block a passing lane with your foot. There's really no penalty for it, other then the game resets and the kickee gets a high 5 for good D.
