I do really like Dyson for Brogdon though. Like, the more I think about it, the more I actually like it. Someone also mentioned KJ Martin who isn’t playing at all in Philly, who I’ve always liked, and he could be had for nothing right now.

I just have this vision in my head of Rupert as a really long 3-D SG and Dyson who can eventually be a good 3-D SF, but can operate as a PG if we wanted to go super big against a bunch of small lineups. Even a lineup of 6’7 Dyson, 6’6 Shae, and 6’8 Rupert (in shoes) as our 1-3 would just be insane size, and I’m here for it. Could Shae possibly be our worse perimeter defender in that lineup?? What a great problem to have if this were the case.

The classic goofball, billionaire owner is the group that bought the Phoenix Suns. These egotistical billionaires think they can outsmart the league, trade away every draft pick all the way until 2030 and instantly turn their team into a championship contender. If I were a phoenix fan. I’d be pissed. That’s not to say Phoenix isn’t a good team right now, but if Cronin could pry some of those future Phoenix pics away from New Jersey, that would be the ideal trade if he could figure out how to get them for Brogdon or Grant.

I wonder if Brooklyn management is already looking a bit sideways at their team that's 6 games under .500, one game from being an 11 sees, and obviously lacks an Alpha. I'm not sure they'd be willing to trade away future assets for a role-playing win-now player that would be a 3rd or 4th option

I hear great things about Dyson from New Orleans fans. He can't shoot worth a lick though. Not sure you'd want him starting next to Scoot. As a prospect by himself, he's very intriguing though.

Well I posted the trade idea on Reddit, and someone said they don’t think Pels do it. Are you someone who has been gassing up Thybulle for his shooting since coming to Portland? Because if you are, I don’t see why you wouldn’t want Daniels here. His defense and ability to move the ball within the offense is already very good. He has like a 3-1 ast/to ratio in the limited opportunities he’s had to make plays. His potential as an impact player is immensely higher than Thybulle imo.

In the end though, this is a pipe dream. But Brogdon IS more win-now, and I would even try to find any deal for Nance that would net some draft compensation back to the Pels if they’d let go of Daniels.

I think we’ve all established we want Scoot and Shae in the backcourt. We also have 2 lotto picks to find forwards. If we trade out the vets and just go young with intriguing players, I don’t care about losing next year. Make some cheap moves like for KJ and roll the dice. Draft Williams, Salaun (or trade down from the dubs pick for Missi and a future 1st). Moves like that.

    Ant/Scoot/Daniels
    Shae/Ant/Rupert/KJ
    Camara/Daniels/Rupert/KJ
    Cody/Walker/Camara
    DA/Missi/Reath/Williams

You could even trade Ant for those who are sincere about wanting him gone. At this point, I wouldn’t care, if the squad looked like this. Super young talent who can grow together with plenty of future 1sts down the pipeline to add.

Really got to shout you out again for this suggestion. Looking more into him and I really want him now for that ‘25 ATL 2nd.

I really think 3 yrs/$10m is in his future, and I really do think his shooting can turn around. He was a 35-37% shooter in his first two years, had a bad shooting year 3, and hasn’t gotten any burn in year 4. Low risk, Thybulle-level reward, imo.

I dont see a need for a 6'6 PF, personally. Rather take a flyer with a high 2nd on upside, or package it to move up. Martin seems like a 10th man type. Fine on a 3/10 deal, but no need to move a pick for him

That Hawks 2nd I offered is in ‘25, protected 41-59, might not even convey. He’s 6’6 barefoot, which is the same as Rupert at the combine. He’s also played SF most of his career.

    You’re thinking of the ‘24 Hawks 2nd that’s the high 2nd.

…that is crazy considering he’s stated he’s going to test free agency.
Would think this only helps grants value

That is a massive overpay for Siakam. I guess Masai might actually salvage his job.

Yeah I don’t think I believe it. They wouldn’t blow their wad on him.

Agreed, I think this only helps Grant’s value as a whole. 3 1sts, Brown, and Hield is the offer according to NBACentral. 4 yrs/$183m is what re-signing him would take right—$45m/yr?

I’m not putting any projection on what I think Grant’s package would be, but it’s more than the 1 1st + filler deals some here think.

it depends on the first round picks offered for Siakam

if two of the picks being offered are the two 2024 pick Indiana has, those could be 20th and 25th. If Indiana doesn't think much of the coming draft class, they would be giving up much with those picks

At the end of the day though, those picks could all be for a 3 month rental. So it’s still a great return, all things considered.

Stupid. He's just going back to Toronto next season. That's a free trade for them.

Could be... but I really think Siakam is just looking for the $$$$. If a team will pay him the Max - he'll resign

I would give them Grant plus one of Brogdon or Thybulle for Walker and picks.

The Kings blow a 22 point lead with 8 minutes remaining in the 4th quarter to the Suns. Another bad loss for them. I feel like Sacramento will be the first domino to fall. They need to make a trade desperately.
