I’m sure we’ll see Kreider play yet another game like a pussy at even strength where he doesn’t hit anybody and does jack shit.
Looking great in this game. lol Maybe it's time to flush this coaching stuff and this gm down the toilet.
Zach Jones must be the worst d-men in history of the NHL. This kid sucks so bad but this idiot coach thinks he is still good enough to play. What was the point of calling up Robertson
Horrendous first period outshot 12-2. If not for quick would be 3-0. If they were gonna play like this they should have stayed at the hotel. Too tired too watch anymore of this effort. Going to bed and hope they find some pride and guts for the 2nd and third periods.
He plays even worse when this trash Zach Jones plays. At least Robertson is physical and can throw some hits. Zach Jones is another soft small pussy d-men.
If you’re a mightily struggling team just play the Rangers. It’s not surprising teams are concentrating on shadowing Panarin.
Well, this season is quickly going down the toilet just like all the others except for 1994 in the last 80 years.
The Rangers have almost zero ability to score with their 3rd and 4th lines, it's awful. Pitlick - 1 goal, 3 points Bonino - 1 goal, 5 points Goodrow - 1 goal, 5 points (I don't care if he adds some grit, you cannot have a $3.6M cap hit and have 5 points in 43 games played) Vesey - 8 goals, 13 points Cuylle - 7 goals, 12 points Wheeler 7 goals, 17 points Brod - 1 goal, 9 points These 7 guys have made up the bottom 6 for most of the season, and 4 of them have 1 goal (doesn't even count Kakko who has 4 points in 23 games - and an astonishing 1 assist). Maybe Wheeler barely hits 30 points (he also played a lot of time with Kreider and Z so he may not get to 30), outside of him not one bottom 6 player will hit 30 points, and no one else may even hit 25 points. Maybe 2 or 3 guys score 10-14 goals. That is terrible on another level. The way the Rangers are playing right now, I almost think Drury should make a big team changing trade (if he can work around NMC's). Something has to be done to mix this up, because it is bad. Yes, they can use another dman who is physical, but you simply cannot win with almost zero bottom 6 production. I think everything should be on the table right now for Drury to do something big and team changing.
No one wants Fox traded because he’s bad. It’s the opposite. He’s good and can bring back important pieces which is why people are saying he should be traded. I’ve been saying for over a year Miller is terrible. He’s a black Mark Staal. Great size but no idea how to hit anyone, poke checks uselessly and is otherwise a road cone in the defensive zone. He can go, but he’s not bringing back anything worthwhile. Fox will.
Same ole , great team, terrible team, love the coach , hate the coach this player hotter than hot, this player sucks and should be traded for this guy…. We get the guy and he sucks. pretty much sums up last 20 + years we never seem to have a bunch of guys with mental and physical abilities to look good even when you go through rough times which all teams do. just hopin for the best go rangers
Still trying to process how Laf missed a gaping net and why his dumb ass felt the need to do some stick handling instead of simply tipping the puck in Kreider style. Another solid game by Quick who doesn't get more help defensively just plays amore aggressively than Igor. This GG fan is having his doubts about Lav being any better. I like Fox, he's a top offensive dman in the NHL, he would help any team he was traded to and would bring back star talent. I'm focused on Fox because of his salary and the fact that his NTC hasn't kicked in yet but his contract goes through the '28-'29 season. Mess, I have no problem with the Rangers making a move with Miller to upgrade but I think K'Andre is still developing while Fox is what he is. I don't think Drury would have any problem moving either player. My point is there's a lot of complaining about NTCs on the board but when an opportunity comes to free the team of one everybody gets cold feet.
The problem is we need to admit Lafreniere and Kakko are busts. Two more guys that can’t finish around the net to add to the mix. Some teams get Crosby and Malkin. Some teams get Mcdavid and Hughes. This is what the #1 and # 2 pick are for the Rangers.
Both guys simply cannot finish. Maybe you can cite confidence, but it is glaring. Kakko misses open nets or easy goals often, and Laf isn't far behind (that play last night was ridiculous). Laf is also a -10, tied for worst on the team.
Lafreniere is not a bust. Are you on drugs? If they put him on the first power-play unit he would be averaging about 80 to 90 points this year. Kakko should be on the point on the first pp unit one timing it. He has a howitzer.
I don't think I'd say Laf is a bust, but he is not playing to # 1 pick expectations, and the way he was hyped going into the draft. And to me it isn't just scoring, he is on pace for 20 goals and 45 points, and that is without PP goals/points. I just don't think he is the stud you'd expect from a # 1 pick. He struggles to finish chances, and he doesn't have a big presence on the ice. I still have good hopes for Laf. Kakko is a whole different level from Laf. Right now, he has to be considered a bust. Both with regards to points, 4 in 24 games with 1 assist (that is crazy) and missing so many easy chances it is hard to imagine. I don't think he plays with any confidence, or swagger.
I'll give Laf a bit of a pass on last night, as Rittich made a nice save on a bang bang play. I don't think Laf had room or time to really elevate the puck. At least he's coming around a little as a player, while KK is playing like the 32nd pick not the 2nd. I wouldn't have any big issue trading him for someone like Lindholm and a 2nd. It would leave a bit of an issue at RW but maybe they could figure it out through the end of the year.
