Not enough talk about Thybulle's contributions tonight. I thought he was fantastic.

So I haven’t read this whole thread…..you gave Chauncy credit for the play he drew up for Grant right?

He's coached a couple really good games recently...good to see him finish off an OT game, I think we've had about 5 of them this season and lost at least 3.

Chauncey: Jerami had a career high in assists

Teammate: Wait, for real? 3? :rotfl:

What a game. I agree we need to continue to lose to get draft choices, but it’s how you lose, and if you win a couple, that’s fine. Ant looks amazing to me. Jeremy is playing so aggressive, Brogdon is a class act. What I love is how much they seem to like each other. It’s actually going to be hard seeing them on other teams. If it were up to me, Ant is not getting traded, unless another team gives us a Danny Ainge type return of multiple draft choices. We have to keep him. He’s so Uber talented. And Thybulle is a pleasure to watch. I can see why some team like Milwaukee would really like to have him, he would be perfect for a contending team that needs some defensive help. I sure hope Schmidt is putting in the time, we have four premium draft choices in this next draft, two possibly in the top 10 to 12, and then two more in the top third of the second round, which gives us lots of flexibility. In the second round, there’s always sleepers like a rim protector or a pure shooter, maybe the best rebounder in college. This team is going to be exciting if they can play anything like they did tonight. what a fun game. Maybe some of you can cool it with the Chauncey’s gotta go threads, I think he’s a good coach

I reversed jinxed him, resulting in the Blazer victory.

    You're welcome.

I'm not really worried anymore with things like wins or losses obviously.
    BUT???
Portland is now 13-31 Currently sitting at 5th team in draft position with 10.5% chance at the #1 pick.
They will not be catching up with the lowest 4 teams
    Pistons, Wizards, Spurs and Hornets.
All of those teams have 10 or fewer losses.
The Raptors at 16 wins and the Grizzlies at 17 wins are the teams they need to stay behind at this point.
I figure this team will continue to play to win until some kind of trade has been figured out for the vets. Then After the trade deadline has passed you will see full tank mode.
Have some fun with a win here and there. Might as well. They will be even fewer and farther between after Feb 8th.

Getting to 35 wins would be a big improvement. I would take it.

I don't think we're going to move much from our current position in the standings, so why worry? As others have said, at some point, you have to try and start winning. You can't kick the can down the road forever. We'll be a lotto team 3 years running no matter what we do.

What do you propose? Would you prefer going 33-49 every season? How do you suggest we improve?
