I believe I wanted our AHL coach to be the coach of our team this season. Is that the Oilers who have won 15 games in a row? Smh. Lava has done a good job with the crap our moron GM has given him. However, the answer as I said for 2 years was with the Pack.

It will be very frustrating should the Oilers go on to with the Cup. However, keep in mind he is working with 2 of the best players in the world.

So were their previous coaches who never did that.

Yes, they did have previous coaches who did that. They have had very good regular seasons recently, they even made the WCF recently, so let's not act as if they have been terrible every season with two of the top 4 or 5 players in the world on their team (1 of whom is the best player in the world by far). Knoblauch has not taken them to new heights. Let's see them make the SCF, then you can say he has taken them where the prior coach did not. That's not to say Knoblauch isn't a good coach, I am simply stating the Oilers have had success recently with good regular seasons, and making the WCF, that isn't new, or exclusive to Knoblauch. Let's see if they make it as far as the WCF as the prior coach did, instead of anointing him/them today.

Arthur staple reporting Chytil suffered a setback related to his current injury (concussion) and will be reevaluated. Kid basically just skating by himself. Rangers kidding themselves rushing this kid back. He needs the rest of this season off and if by some miracle he’s ok for the playoffs make a decision then. In the meantime drury needs to get off his ass and use his money to bring in a center!

I don't think it has anything to do with the Rangers rushing him back. Only Chytil can say I feel good or not, the Rangers are not driving that, and I am sure he said he felt goof. With that said, with this latest setback, now everyone (the Rangers and Chytil) needs to say he is shut down for at least the season and then reassess his career from there. First and foremost is his health/life.

As for Drury, yes, he needs to make moves here and be aggressive. They'll have like $4.3M extra to play with now that Chytil is out. Use that on a top 9 C, another top 9 forward, and a dman. That is what this teams needs to have any shot. If he doesn't want to do that, he might as well sell off. And then this summer this team needs a core/identity changing bigger move.

Nobody is rushed back with concussions anymore. They have to pass protocols and be medically cleared. Unfortunately, it looks like he just might be done.

Touche...but winning 15 regular season games in a row is meaningless. Win 15 post season games in a row and you're one win away from a Cup.

It’s not meaningless if you got off to a bad start and you’re trying to make the playoffs like they are.

They say that Chytil actually injured his knee or something while practicing in non contact jersey. Iam sorry but he is so soft it’s unbelievable at this point

I’m not worried about Lafreniere finishing better he’ll learn to do that. It’s when players don’t get chances every game that worries me and that’s where Kakko is at.

Every goal isn’t his fault but Shesterkin is just killing them with the amount of bad goals he’s giving up.

This whole team is playing like dog shit. Said months ago, no way in the world do you give Igor anything more than a team friendly contract offer. Lindgren hurt now, also said no way can you give him a contract after this one as he’s too injury prone. Rangers need to move Fox and get picks and/or young top prospects. This team as constructed will NOT win anything more than MAYBE one round in the playoffs.
You have to move Fox as he is the only player that doesn’t have a NMC that can bring back top quality, unless you are seriously considering blowing everything up and moving Igor.

'Hey guys, we're playing the Rangers tonight so don't worry about getting too banged up. Oh yeah, and if we score keep the pressure on as they love giving up goals immediately after'.

Again, it’s clear this team wasn’t as good as their torrid start. They also shouldn’t be a team that’s competing like some of the bottom dwellers. Hopefully, the all star break resets something or this collapse will be another dark chapter for this franchise.

I would agree, they are somewhere in the middle between their start and this crap we are seeing now. With that said, I think Drury really needs to be thoughtful about what he does at the trade DL.

Chytil I cannot see coming back this season. This team has just about zero bottom 6 ability. I don't see the moves that can make this team a legit SC threat this season. I would maybe be a soft seller if it enables Drury to get valuable assets for the future. And I think he needs to make a bigger move this summer and change up the mix of this team, because it is not close to good enough to win it all sadly.

Frankly, the team needs a wake up call. I’d bench Mika against Ottawa. One goal the entire month and frankly not the season you need or expect out of him.
