This is a really good listen. I think they have a good understanding of Joe's situation and why he did what he did.
He said that Dame wasn't willing to burn his relationship with the fans and that's why Dame isn't in Miami. He's not wrong.
The schadenfreude continues with the marlins getting swept in the NL Wilcard series. Miami tears never tasted so sweet!
Thought I’d bump this up so we can gloat. Hope the heat don’t even make the playoffs this year. Cocky play-in team that went on a hot streak and thought they could run it back without major moves because of their “culture.”
one of the Heat bots wanted to get Bruce Brown. That's the first player i've heard that makes any sense for Miami. I've seen clips of Duncan Robinson offering 0 weakside help defensively this season. We also saw how starting Caleb Martin over Tyler Herro got the Heat to the Finals. Will Miami make more moves at the trade deadline? All i know is Heat fans complain about everything, but direct it towards the players who aren't causing the problems.
“We have never shopped him and had no interest in ever trading the guy,” Riley said of Herro, Sure they didn't.... “For the teams that didn’t want me, that’s on you. For the team’s that do want me, you’ll see why you want me,” he said. Yeah we're watching bro.
Spoelstra is waayyyy overrated. Had Bosh/Wade/LeBron and only won 2 titles. Barely. And if the culture was so great, why did LeBron give up “not 5, not 6..” for Cleveland?
Just three weeks ago I was engaging Heat fans on Twitter who still were butthurt over the Dame thing and trying to get over by rewriting history that they offered Herro/Jovic./JJJ/1RP/1RP swap for Lillard and we'd have gotten Ayton separate of that trade anyway. They were gloating that we didn't get enough for Dame, that they offered the best package and Cronin was a fool not to accept it, but they were lucky he didn't. Funny thing is I remember these same fans telling me that they didn't have to trade both JJJ and Jovic and maybe not even Herro and we had no choice but to accept. My, how the turntables.
I looked at Miami's schedule. They have 8 upcoming games on National TV and 3 on NBA TV. I think fans are going to want their money back. Unless of course folks want the Heat to lose. Miami is in a 7 game losing skid. They're getting used to taking a beating.
