You should probably put some ointment on them.

I wonder how long it will be before they stop with the two-minute reports. It seems to make things worse for the NBA

It seems like they are now doubling down to protect the refs - calling very obvious errors "correct".

They started it as a tool for accountability, but they have since botched that.

He did this like multiple times and has made like $50 million in his career.
    Not sure I'm completely sympathetic?

LeBron tweeted an hourglass symbol on his twitter after last nights loss. People have suggested it's a cryptic tweet aimed at management.
    I can see 3 options:
    A) time is running out to get more talent in L.A.
    B) the clock is ticking on James' illustrious career
    C) he's a big fan of Days of Our Lives soap opera

Well the guy started his statement with something like, "I don't care if I get fined..." and then laid into the officiating. 40k should have been expected and I think it was. I also think Edwards showed he is willing to pay something like 40k if it starts to get him the calls he deserves.

Shouldn't have to "pay the man" just to get calls. Sounds like an extortion racket.

So it’s the new way to buy the Refs then!
I get it now. I’ll try to keep up.

This shit isn't new. I can't count the times in the last 20 plus years that I've heard a superstar or head coach say "I don't care if I get fined" after a game before laying into the officiating. I also can't count the times those same players or teams started getting better calls. They publicly chastise the league for not calling them right, they pay the fine and then they get better calls. Again it's not new, it's the way this league has operated for decades. Spotrac only has the info for the last decade but it was going on way before then. Look at the majority of the names, coaches and superstars or guys looking to get superstar calls lobbying for more favorable officiating. That's all Edwards is doing.

So the first question that came to my mind was “ Where does the money go?”.
    A quick google -
The NBA says that it allocates fine money to charity, although it is the only professional sports organization that does not publicize what specific charities receive donations.

So we don’t know where the money goes…
    Wha wha wha. Oh boy.
