"Hey, remember that time......where there was this "Scoot a bust?" thread?" ""Mmmhmm" "Yea.......good times"
remember the time the OP disappeared anytime he has a good game??? Love those fair weather fans! lol.
I know Malcom may eat some of Scoots playin time but for his yr at least I think it's good having Malcom around for Scoots development.
Ant had Dame and CJ and you can see he was paying attention because he has elements of both in his offensive game. Combined with his natural athletic superiority, that gives him an offensive upside superior to either of them. He's a true 3-level scoring threat. What will determine if he ever gets as good as them depends on him becoming more consistent, but the tutelage and tools are there. The jury's still out on Scoot, but he's trained with Steph, I think was around Dame a little before things broke down there between Lillard and the Blazers, and he's gotten to both play and watch Ant and Malcolm, two players who excel in very different ways but whose strengths Scoot has the ability to mimic (Ant's athletic ability, Malcolm's strength and savvy). At times, you see him incorporating things they do. Last night, he did a big sidestep to create separation and get up a 3 in the second half -- he missed it, but that was a very Dame move. He's definitely getting to study up close with guys that can help his game.
Hey @Portland2014 Curious what your thoughts are of his current play and if you think the thread creation might have been a bit premature?
What about you @AldoTrapani You have said time and again he is trash and a waste of a pick(summizing) Any change of opinion at all?
Did I just feed trolls? I hope not, Giving them an opportunity to avoid the troll label here... time will tell...
Not good enough from the dude that wouldn't stop calling him Poop, like a fucking grade shcooler. You're always good about admitting you're wrong but this time you might want to eat a little more crow. Called the fucking 19 year old rookie who played 16 games after his junior year of high school and has done nothing but play better and better throughout the season "Poop Henderson". SMH
It’s so rare that young guards come in and dominate especially 19 year olds. Expectations were unreasonable including Scoots. Billups benching him and making him learn has been good for him. That said I don’t want to wait to long to let the kid take over, I want him happy and love Portland like Dame did
Y’all know Steve Nash scored 3.3 points in the game as a rookie? Westbrook’s high was 34. Never tried to compare players because like these haters, no two seasons are alike, they snowflakes. To call Scoot a bust given some of his strong performances he’s had… yes, he’s been inconsistent. But to pretend he’s Anthony Bennett-level worthiness of being written off already… you just flat-out dumb. There’s good and bad in rookie seasons, especially for PG’s. Give some space.
