People act as if Joes ONLY job is to find the trades that THEY(not Joe) thinks they should make and when he doesn't, he sucks at his job. There is a little bit more that goes into the GM position than simply making the trades the public things are there and should happen.

You're right it's much more obscure than that. It's like we didn't trade Aaron Gordon when it was obviously time to... like the Magic did. We aren't in win now mode so I'm not talking about a player we missed out on getting but more so the fact that the guys I want traded only have a limited amount of playoff victories left in their career that they can hypothetically contribute to. I doubt Malcolm or Jerami will ever have higher value than they just did but hopefully I'm wrong and you guys are right and Joe's inactivity will somehow pay off in the long run.

I want our team to be great. I think the best chance we have for that is years down the road after both Jerami and Malcolm will be past their prime.

Scoot started earlier, he wasn't ready. It's pointless to throw him into the fire, watch him suck and then trade away anyone who might be a good role model and who allows him to come off the bench in a reduced role, as opposed to destroying his confidence. It's silly to assume the minute distribution will be the same throughout the entire year, especially once we've officially been eliminated. I disagree his value will only get lower. Scoot's once again questionable tonight with a left foot contusion. Trading away the other true point guard leaves you with what exactly? Simons? For all these reasons I'm okay with keeping him.

    I want to scream.

WHO CARES ABOUT WINS/LOSSES this year?

Literally the only takeaways from this year are if Chauncey can develop the youngins. Barring that, I don't give a shit if we lose by 50+ every night.

Fez, I would argue that our summer represented an entire season of transactions. Also, we don't know that the Blazers "did nothing". They may have been actively engaged, but our price wasn't met.

I'm not trying to argue with you; I agree rebuilds can be frustrating. It's worse when you have an ownership group intent on getting under the cap as a first priority. I would love to have seen at least three vets moved. However, I do also understand the notion of standing firm when you don't get players or salaries that will help with the rebuild.

Anger control management can easily be googled.

Set unrealistic expectations, better expect to be dissapointed.

Yes, that small market is part of the job he holds, a known constraint within which he must operate as part of the highly-coveted position he occupies. If he's not able to locate and close deals--either trade or free agent (when applicable)--despite those difficulties, then he doesn't belong in the position.

wins and losses mean JACK FUCKING SHIT

Only thing that matters with this team this year is how the young players grow plain and simple.

If Scoot is not starting after the all star break then every and I mean EVERY fan should be screaming at the top of there lungs that Billups should be fired ASAP.

I’m curious what people thought we could get for brogdon after watching the complete garbage that was just moved around between teams?
Not one meaningful trade package was given out today

Other than what the Knicks got from Detroit…but Detroit is Detroit

Well then you're clueless and I'm glad you have no role in the front office. I could give two shits about wins this year, but I do care about player development and culture.

Another fun fact about our supposed "direction."

This team will have the 14th highest payroll in the league this year and finish 14th in its conference.

Too bad our absentee owner doesn't care about $ this year.

"blatant inactivity"? Hmm. If I recall correctly, Joe may have done this and that this past summer. But, perhaps I'm wrong. Say...where's Dame? I haven't seen him suit up for us all season.

He has made many moves in his short tenure.

To not make a move at one deadline and be considered not belonging in the position is super cutthroat.

Sure am glad you aren't my employer. :)

I would be surprised if Brogdon kept his minutes at this level. Clearly, we were showcasing him.

In some people's noggin forming, due
to the stress and impending internal explosions soon to happen.

But... I though I fixed that typo/autocorrect. lol
