And none of us know how much Brogdons veteran mentorship has helped Scoot whatsoever. If we only spoke on things we know as a 100% fact, this forum wouldn't exist.

Legit this, There are tons of posters here with stupid high expectations, either of players or the team. And then they have complete melt downs when the crazy shit doesnt happen. Maybe I am too casual of a fan, but I am not going to let a blazers loss or bad game ruin my day, definitely not this team. Maybe if it was some playoffs type stuff and we actually have a decent chance then maybe ill let it ruin my day but till then people just need to reeeeellaaaaaax.....

The Warriors are $90m over the cap, in 11th place, and didn't shave salary at the deadline. Not sure if that shows how committed their ownership is to winning or how badly their front office is screwing them in the future.

There’s part of me that’s disappointed. There’s another part of me that thinks Grant or/and Brogdon couldn’t have fetched us what we wanted.

Sometimes the best moves are the ones you don’t make just because.

This isn’t me being a Cronin apologist either. I think he’s been quite the boob in his time as head man.

You're honestly comparing Dame to 19 (now 20) year old Scoot? lol.

EDIT: And yes I was worried about Scoot's confidence. The player I've seen for the majority of the year hasn't shown me confidence as a leading PG, especially with decision making. Just because he's vocal when he makes a play doesn't mean he's a confident player... But I think he's improving, it just takes time...

Despite being a significantly better offensive player, Brogdon and Scoot basically take the same amount of attempts each game.

Grant and Brogdon don't even average 30FGA's a game, so averaging 40 the last half of the season seems incredibly unlikely. Would be willing to wager that doesn't happen.

Right. So to say it is meaningless is just as asinine as me saying it means everything.
But some here are completely adamant it means nothing and can be found anywhere. I find that type of matter of fact opinion to just not be accurate.

I believe it has some value. I agree that value may have a range that none of us know. But what I do know is the team will have a much better assessment of that value than any of us and their action or inaction answers the gauge of value they put on it.

It means something, but not as much as m cheating the logjam at guard going into next season plus getting assets that can help them further maximize their future window.

In my opinion, maybe due to Brogdons leadership, Scoot should be ready to take a leap next year and needs the opportunity to do so. Do you still want Brogdon on the team in that case when we'll also have Sharpe and Simons?

When expecting more than nothing and expecting a direction is "expecting too much", that's how you know you're in trouble.

Not a fan of Joe, but I'm just not seeing what there is to be upset about today. Seems people are mad that he wasn't able to manufacture trade value that didn't exist or we're somehow hindering the development of our young players by keeping some of these guys. Just don't agree with either assessment.

There is a difference between you not knowing the direction and there not being a direction.

I have difficulty buying the line that "heavy" interest didn't result in at least reasonable value.

I think people in here wanted him traded for two 2nd round picks today when just a week ago those same people said don't trade him without getting a mid 1st. People decided they wanted a trade just for the sake of trading.

The Mavericks traded bench guys and a pick for Charlotte's prized young Forward PJ Washington.

this is not going to make Blazers Uprise happy. Those cats had PJ earmarked for the last couple years.

Agreed... seems like a weak attempt to drive up value for him in the future.
