I don't see him having the affect the right hopes for as he resonates more with Cuckoo for Cocoa puffs vax deniers then Dems for his name recognition.

Presidents don't control the economy. And even if they did, the US economy is doing comparatively well.

Reality is probably as simple as the biggest voting block are old people. They want to vote for people like themselves.

I don't know a single person, who is either democrat/liberal or undecided/moderate/independent, who gives two shits about RFKjr. The draw of the Kennedys is pretty much boomers, and boomers only.

And any of us old enough to remember JFK and RFK will tell you that they have no use for Jr. He is nothing like his father and uncle.

RFK Jr, I was alive at the same time as Jack Kennedy. I saw Jack Kennedy on TV. Jack Kennedy was a president of mine. RFK Jr., you're no Jack Kennedy.

Nobody boomerish enough to actually remember Jack and Bobby are fans of RFK Jr. unless they also happen to be nutters like RFK Jr.
I'd bet he gets more votes from the younger generation than boomers.
The 'everything is a conspiracy and conspiracies explain everything' crowd tends to be on the younger side as far as I can tell.

If anything I'd give biden some props that we avoided a recession. I don't think we are outta the woods, but my fingers are crossed.

Curious: have you listened to any of his speeches, or are you just looking at what others say about him?

Whatever you think about him, he is a 3rd choice.

No full speeches... I never get that far in before laughing and turning it off.

RFK Jr is an absolute joke. He is not to be taken seriously unless it starts to look like he may actually win. Then we have a problem.

True, but there are always inconsequential randoms (Stein, West) running for President who don't affect things much. We'll see if Jr. picks up traction as the year moves along, but I really doubt it. Certainly there have been 3rd party choices that absolutely did affect Presidential outcomes in the past.

That's an incredibly stupid article. There is nothing against the law about selling your property for the maximum anyone is willing to pay.

    But, yeah, made me look.

Looks like an assessor gave the value... So there was no lie. That's how it's supposed to be done.

If Trump had done it that way he wouldn't be guilty of anything either.

It’s the same in principle. Splitting hairs about whether a bank or an assessor approved the valuation is just a dishonest, unprincipled stance. He had knowledge of the property’s value and enjoyed a lower tax rate despite that. He could’ve been paying more in taxes and he knew it. Why didn’t he? Is it because he got the best deal he could, just like all of you do every time you walk into a bank or make any transaction ever?

    Y’all have exactly zero principles.

I 1000% guarantee there are hardcore anti-trump people right here in this very forum who’ve walked into a bank and loaned against a property they tried to represent in the absolute best light possible, while omitting the unsavory parts. This is how it’s always been done, millions of transactions, thousands per day.

Spare me your “everyday people are victims” nonsense. Clown world.

    I guess you don't own a house?

Stewart wasn't getting a loan. He was selling his house. Yes, it's perfectly moral and legal to sell to the highest bidder, even if that price exceeds the tax assessment.

Trump, on the other hand, provided false information to banks in order to get better terms on loans. That actually isn't legal, whether or not 'everyone does it'.

But keep trying, I'm sure eventually you'll run across someone dumb enough to believe your nonsense.

    Very very different.

Let's say you buy a single wide on a 1/8 acre of land.

You film midget porn in it.

After a few years, you decide to sell. You're well-known now in the midget porn world. Someone decides to not only buy it but pay you 10x the amount you paid for it.

    vs

You buy a single wide on a 1/8 acre of land.

You get some gold spraypaint and paint the toilet.

But also you suddenly claim it isn't a single wide, but a cinco-wide! That's right bitches, it's not 1... not 2... not 3... not 4... BUT 5... 5 single wides lashed together into one mobile home mansion with a solid gold toilet!

So you take your fake appraisal of your fake cinco-wide with its solid gold toilet to the bank to get a new mortgage on the false value of it. Remember, you still only own a single wide, but on paper, you're claiming it's a cinco-wide! Bank lends you money on the fake appraisal.

Ah, beautiful. The quiet part out loud always says so much. This was all you really needed to say. You’d be cumming your shorts over a jaywalking indictment as well, because ‘technically’ it is not legal. You could make smarmy points about it too and be ‘correct’ on paper. But if this selective brand of justice was served against anyone in your tribe you’d no doubt be crying about it.
My point stands, you have no principles.

I understand the scope of what is being alleged, you dont have to explain it in zany hypotheticals. I’m saying selective prosecution is being used, because it is. Nobody has ever been charged with these crimes under such common circumstances like this. If a Trump justice department gives Biden 10 years for jaywalking and you say “thats pretty fucked up”, my only response wouldn’t be to keep explaining to you what jaywalking is and how it works.
