No, actually it's not at all similar.

The 14th Amendment clearly defines people who are protected as "All persons born or naturalized in the United States". It very clearly includes all races, and very clearly excludes the unborn.

Further, the constitution protects individuals from government. The government does not have the right to determine medical information that a person hasn't agreed to share with the government. The government doesn't have the right to restrict medical decisions a person would make for their own reasons.

 

And there should be no law against that, either.

 

Trying to apply that to the abortion debate is mind-numbingly stupid.

Our government enforces murder laws, which pretty much every government has since the beginning of time. The argument that if it's in the womb it somehow ceases being a human life is absurd.

If someone were to take a premie out of an incubator and bash it against the floor, they'd be charged with murder. Under your logic, it would be ok to murder it if we were somehow able to put it back in the womb surgically.

In this pure fantasy scenerio the premie would have been born. It would be protected by the constitution. Even if it were put back in the womb surgically, it would have already been born. It would be unconstitutional to force the mother to put it back in her womb.

The process of being "born" is simply coming out of the womb. If you're going to be logically consistent, what is it about being inside the womb? You're ok with a 9 month old inside the womb being torn apart but not a 6 month old premie in an incubator? Your position makes no sense. And I think you must know that at some level, but you're hell-bent on defending your tribe's position.

I've put both MARIS61's accounts on ignore now. ...funny how no disabled senior vets have died from the vaccine nor any of my doctors, nurses, friends or their families. If the vaccine killed people, I'd have died four times already...I'm proof this anti vax shit is bat shit crazy.....along with everyone I know. One of my vaxxed friends died recently but she was 99 years old and ready to go. I'll bet she made it on a MAGA death list as she was also vaccinated. I personally don't give a shit if you get vaxxed or not. It gives me some comfort knowing that if you aren't vaxxed you can't travel to where my in laws live. The Taiwanese didn't fuck around with covid arguments...they just snuffed it out in quick fashion unlike the MAGAtards here in my home country who would rather die and spread the virus than take any social responsibility for public safety. ..stupid fucks.

 

This doesn't happen. Like, at all. There is no need for a law, and there is no law that could justly regulate this more fairly than allowing the patient to make this decision with their doctor. We have constitutional rights that protects the patient's ability to make their own decision in this situation.
