It has been reported that Israel has monetarily supported Hamas. Israel needs Hamas as a scapegoat for Israel's apartheid on the Palestinian people. Plain and simple.
This situation is unique... however, genocide doesn't generally "work". It "worked" here in the US. It "worked" in Australia. Nation building worked in Japan, Germany, etc. Gaza is already decimated like Japan and Germany were (it didn't have very far to fall). What is needed is improved living conditions and care. The rest will come in time. It will come faster if Israel can find the strength to be gracious and actually help the people of Gaza.

To be fair, the basis for that was the logic you used. Yes, the "aligning yourself with Hitler" comment was clearly intended to be inflammatory, but it also made a valid point (even if the inflammatory nature of the comment detracted from the point being made). So, obviously you don't agree with our support Hitler or Naziism. But @AmirIcon is not wrong in saying that when Jews were trying to escape Germany before WW2 actually began, many countries (including the US) severely restricted intake of Jewish refugees if not refusing them entry outright. And Hitler's response to this was basically to say, "See, nobody else wants these Jews in their country either--clearly they're subhuman." Unfortunately, by making the statement you made, which was: ... you did, in fact, invoke logic similar to that used by Hitler, without any clarifying commentary to differentiate. So rather than railing against those who pointed out the unfortunate similarity, you might consider taking a moment to clarify what you were intending to communicate. Otherwise, it will continue to look like you were suggesting that Egypt not opening their borders to innocent Palestinian refugees shows that they are not worth protecting, as though they are subhuman.

To the contrary, he assumed you dislike Hitler, so you should avoid any easily corrected reasoning error, temporary to you, similar to Hitler's thinking. Get it? There are MANY results in common between Israel's recent tactics and Germany's cruel invasion of the Soviet Union. Read the news; the civilian slaughter is there every day. And imagine the part hidden from the news--the tens of thousands of civilian men arrested, then beaten and tortured to find which can give names and locations, then killed to keep it quiet. For example, Henry Kissinger claimed about his post-WW2 torture camp that he hadn't needed to torture because his men persuaded every German to talk without torture. The reporter was too scared to question that laughable proposition, or to ask whether the Allies' policy was to put Jews in charge of such camps due to their extra motivation.

Is there any support for this claim other than this tweet? It doesn't seem to link to any news article. It seems like if he actually made an official statement like this, it would be reported somewhere.
