Another year of Root Sports, no streaming, same' ol same ol'?

I set up some ad-blockers and other stuff and I just pirate all the games and it's been fine. Like Blockbuster years ago, all this stuff cable is doing feels like a self-inflicted wound...

I am sad at the news but also like -- See Dipshit Cronin -- when you do what you want over what the fans want this is what you get BUT I will not just say that and not mention ROOT sports being a total cluster fuck too.

I am not saying it was not right to turn it over to Scoot cause I am still torn if we should have stayed with Dame or done the route were on but trading Dame has had some blow back and that is a fact.

 

It doesn't help that it's difficult to watch the team, but Blazer fans can be extremely fair weather. I was there during the Telfair days where the Rose Garden was basically empty.

 

Agreed on the fair weathernedness. And, while I can see a drop with Dame leaving, I'd have thought there'd at least be the excitement of the young guys for people to tune in. The original 60% link was I believe behind a paywall, so unsure where it comes from. But I know besides on here, I've talked to a few people who got fed up with issues with root and general broadcast availability and switched to finding streams.

now the narrative is it's on Jody -- when did this come out cause unless you show me proof ( article etc ) that is complete and utter fucking BS made up by Cronin ass kissers. However I should not be surprised that now the Cronin ass kissers now blame Jody and not Cronin anything to make it not his fault in some way.

This is the problem today with people they like to find a way to pass the buck of blame unto others when did owning your crap -- good or bad become a bad thing.

I own the fact I am a SoB at times on this forum and take ownership of it but the jack asses ( not calling anyone here that ) around today just cannot do it.

 

I would say this is largely a casualty of people being sick and tired of paying for a ton of streaming services.

 

Cronin said Jody nixed the idea of Dame coming back after the trade demand and he hasn't been fired, so I don't think he's lying about that.

 

Honestly, I've been thinking about it too - even as a diehard season ticket holder, I'm losing interest in the NBA as a whole. I just think the whole product is a worse value than it used to be - and not just because we currently suck. I'll renew my season tickets next month but if things aren't noticeably better next year, I'm not sure beyond that.
