Why aren’t the mods merging this with his other Billups thread? Clean this place up a little

Having the right guys out there helps. Ayton and Walker is a pair that is always going to get more boards than Reath and Grant. I am pretty sold on Grant at SF after the past two games.

I hold out some hope after back to back wins that Chauncey is starting to learn to be a coach. Jury is still out for me but I don't see his old Colorado buddy firing him anytime soon.

Expand on that so others can bash his thoughts?

Cause that’s what gonna happen with the Billups haters

Just curious what he's doing well...

This is a discussion forum, is it not? If the thread is so ridiculous why not prove it by backing up that claim and offering some support for it?

Or I guess you could just bash on people who disagree with you and leave it at that.

There is good things many have said about Billups during the season already, funny enough in his other Billups thread.

I even posted in there when that thread went quiet for a while and Billups had the guys playing hard and pointed it out. Many said they will eat crow from what they said about him earlier. and I bumped the thread because I knew when we starting losing and going through a rough stretch again people would start to bash him again, and here we are.

Yes some have wanted Billups gone for a while and maybe you as well but it’s the same old story of harping and bashing on things in here when we are going through a rough stretch. Same with people with Scoot, people are souring on Ayton too. Maybe people’s expectations were too high.

Reading negative views over and over get tiresome and yes losing isn’t fun but others would rather focus on the positives because things are gonna be ugly for a while before things get better and that’s just fact regardless what coach we have.

Understood. I was just wondering what was specifically good since the post was made and this thread called out as being ridiculous.

I've not been impressed with Billups since he was hired. Not that I necessarily want him fired right now, but I want a concerted effort to hire some incredible trainers and up and comers who will supplant him.

    Brooks ain't it.

Chauncey had a career drtg of 107 and was a 2 X second team All-Defensive player. Pretty sure that he understands how a defense is supposed to work. Why that's not getting translated to the team is a subject for debate.

Chauncey has the most comfortable job in the league. He won’t be fired. Everything is going according to plan. And Scoot is being mentored by a FMVP PG.

Danny Larue from dunc’d on had an interesting point about coaches—basically, he was saying that orgs don’t cycle through coaches enough. That the goal of any org should be to have one of the 10 best coaches in the league, and teams should be aggressive in trying out different coaches and discarding them as soon as it’s apparent they aren’t on that trajectory. Almost all great coaches show greatness early, and teams should be rapidly going through different options each season or two until one hits.

Agree 100%. If you can make the argument that you have a top 10 coach then you should probably keep them.

Otherwise, what's the point in keeping them?
