Probably old-heads who had no choice but to eat up American propaganda due to no alternative in news consumption. I don't blame them. My dad is kind of the same. Even after he readily admits the U.S. destroyed his country and many others. We're lucky that we have access to so many other sources of information. This is why there's such a generational divide on Gaza. Even amongst Jews. Older folks have been brainwashed for decades by mainstream outlets. It's not that different than conservatives brainwashed by Fox.
Is it really true that Afghanis "prefer" the Taliban? How would we know that? It's not like they were elected, or there are any reliable polls on the subject. But if they do prefer the Taliban, by how much? Is it 100%:0%? 50.1%:49.9%? What if you include 'none of the above' in the poll? barfo
Everyone who is old remembers the days when they were young and they thought they knew everything and old people were stupid. Enjoy it while it lasts. barfo
There's been plenty of polling along the years. I'm sure every period of time is different than the others. There's a lot of good info on Google and Youtube.
Oh, that can't possibly be the case. After all, I'm old, and I have access to Google and Youtube. The information I'm requesting must exist on the special media sources that only you young people have access to. So please, provide a link to these polls you speak of. barfo
No, you're right. You're an adult. You're perfectly capable using the internets to find the polling you need. I wish you the best of luck.
I don't yet believe it actually exists, although I'm sure you pulled it from somewhere other than your butt, right? I did find some polling that said that 94% of Afghanis think they are suffering, and 53% want to move to a western country like the USA. Odd that the majority would want to leave for the west if they prefer the Taliban as you claim. Maybe you can explain that. barfo
Somewhere along the way you missed the plot of what a message board is for. It's to contribute information. If you're too insecure to receive information from another poster, please discontinue responding to them and stop with the childish ad hominem attacks. Also, how anyone can equate living in America with living in Afghanistan with Americans running it, I don't know.
Do they remember being middle-aged and watching the old people go batshit and clutch pearls on every issue?
You seem to believe your unsupported opinions and beliefs are 'information'. They aren't. If you are too insecure to have your opinions and assertions questioned, then maybe your advice is for you instead. I don't know either, but no one did that. That poll was taken after the US had pulled out and the Taliban was running the country. barfo
Speak for yourself. There are plenty liking and responding to my posts without acting like a jackass. I don't mind being questioned at all. But don't ask for something and act snide and dismissive. You're asking me to provide info for you. I won't be putting in the work for someone if they're acting snarky post after post. You literally made the comparison. Do you read the drivel you write before you post it?
What you are doing is deflecting so that you don't have to back up your claims. Which is fine, there's no law that says you have to defend your position. I agree I've been snide and snarky - I tend to give back whatever I get, and you've been pretty snide and snarky yourself. From my point of view, nothing personal - I enjoy your posts and am not bent out of shape about our discussion here. But there's no point in continuing on this if we aren't going to discuss anything other than each other's attitude. So I'll drop it. barfo
I bet any Afgany given the opportunity to move away form the Taliban to the US, would jump at the opportunity. And if you were truthful I bet you would too? Taliban or USA?
