<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Giants.com)</div><div class='quotemain'>The Giants today waived/failed physical tight end Sean Berton, who spent the entire 2005 season with the team. Berton was awarded to the Giants off waivers from Minnesota on Sept. 4, 2005. He played in 14 games and caught one pass and made two special teams tackles before suffering a season-ending knee injury vs. Kansas City on Dec. 17. Berton was placed on injured reserve two days later. The Giants still have three veteran tight ends on the roster in Jeremy Shockey, Visanthe Shiancoe and Matt Kranchick, plus first-year pro Wade Fletcher.</div>

an overwhelming amount of talent competing for the #3 TE spot, not a huge suprise. Berton was real solid on special teams, guess he's still not 100% though.
