I don't recall ever saying that you. And there is nothing in the forum software that gives me such information.
TBD. Giannis playing off the ball may not be a recipe for success, either. That turns him into more of a jump shooter than a driver, which is exactly what the defense wants. Dame hasn't fared particularly well at clean passes when trapped, so Giannis getting to the hoop in those situations isn't exactly guaranteed.
The idea is getting Giannis the ball either rolling to the hoop where he is probably the most effective guy in the league or if pressure comes at Dame early enough getting Giannis the ball at the top of the key with a 4 on 3 advantage or leaving Dame uncovered or with a soft single coverage beyond the three point line. Having to choose between leaving one of those two in single coverage or without any coverage is a nightmare that starting a pick and roll really high will cause every time. Just imagine the sets that we saw run for half a decade with Dame and Nurk and now replace Nurk with Giannis. Milwaukee has shooters around Dame and Giannis and they also have both BroLo and Portis who each have outside shooting and can really punish teams in the paint. This offense should be legendary but they have used Dame as a decoy and have had a ton of plays where he never even touches the ball. They've been better lately at doing things that make sense though.
Dame's gravity should get Giannis dunks galore in the PnR, or Middleton will get the ball WIDE freaking open on the reverse.
Middleton has been out over a month. I guess he wrecked his ankle, and the Bucks hope to have him back before playoffs. But there's question marks around his recovery time.
Solid point. Then put Beverly over there, or even better, Porter. Or any of the other 5 or 6 37% 3pt shooters on the team who has the best matchup or is hot that night. Game over.
@SlyPokerDog is this true? Can you tell when people are blocked? If so, this one of the funniest things I've ever heard. The most blocked?!? THE HPV is getting under people skin! Also, if it's true, please, Sly, please, show us the numbers on everyone. We don't need to know who is blocking who, just how many people have blocked who.
I can just hear the debates in my head now. "Dude he said you only been blocked by 4 people. You're a lightweight. When you get to the big leagues you'll know what I'm talkin bout"
You have to have somebody pop open or cut before the trap gets there. If he didn't have an open pass before the trap got there that's on his coach, or his teammates aren't executing the gameplan.
Here I am Sunday morning watching the Bucks with more interest than pretty much any Blazer game this season. Except for maybe when the Blazers played the Bucks.
Kind of helps that they are playing the Suns with Nurk and Drew. Grayson Allen also seems to be a cool story. Pat Con and Bol Bol.
