Around 7-8 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, Little Scooter pulled a Meyers Leonard.

Kawhi Leonard had the ball under the hoop and looked for the easiest way to put it up vs. a couple of Blazers brushing against him. Scooter was lost, so he turned his back to Leonard to protect himself, just like Meyers Leonard used to. Kawhi Leonard saw his easy opening and laid it in, getting Scooter's foul to boot.

Meyers used to look even worse. He fearfully closed his eyes as he turned his back to the action. Because of goggles, tonight I couldn't see whether Scooter did the same.

The Clippers then raced ahead and I turned off the game, as I usually do at some point each game this season.

 

Holton calls this game a "lesson of physicality". The Blazers can learn a lot by getting pounded on their home turf
