Not to smart for a rookie...Packers WR Cory Rodgers was arrested in a bar fight in his college town of Fort Worth, Texas.Police said the fight started after Rodgers, 23, refused to sign autographs and buy drinks for people in the bar. Up to 50-60 people were reportedly in the fight, and some used pool cues and beer bottles as weapons. Rodgers, a fourth-round pick in April, reportedly fired two gunshots into the airJust another punk in this league.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>WBAY.com reports police say the fight that caused Green Bay Packers rookie WR Cory Rodgers to be arrested began when Rodgers refused to sign autographs and buy drinks for people in the bar. Nearly two dozen police officers were called in to handle the situation. When they arrived, they heard gunshots. Police say they found Rodgers in the back seat of a car with an empty handgun. According to the police, Rodgers fired two shots into the air during the melee. He faces charges of carrying a concealed weapon and discharging a weapon within city limits. The team says it's aware of the incident and will let the legal process run its course.</div>He was just going to be the return man anyways this year. I wonder if the Packers will still try to sign him now?

I feel like players in the NFL do more bad things within communities than they do good things... all we hear about are arrests, fights, and drug problems.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Traci Shurley, of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports Green Bay Packers WR Cory Rodgers is facing misdemeanor charges of unlawfully carrying a firearm and unlawfully discharging a firearm. Rodgers was released from the Mansfield Jail Friday, May 26, after posting $2,000 bail. Fort Worth police said the brawl started after Rodgers refused to sign autographs and buy drinks for people in the bar. Patrons of the club were seen using pool cues and beer bottles as weapons, according to police. One officer suffered minor injuries after being struck by a beer bottle and nearly two dozen officers were brought to the scene to end the fight. Texas Christian S Eric Buchanan and WR Quentily Harmon were in the front seat of the car Rodgers discharged his firearm from. Both were arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and released. They told police the gun was fired "to scare off a group of males who had thrown beer bottles at Rodgers and the other two individuals after he refused to give them some type of autograph," according to police spokesman Lt. Dean Sullivan.</div>

Well, from what I've heard, he wasn't a superstar in mini camp anyways...I'm not too worried, nor is it something I care too much about because I never got 'attached' to him as a Packer player. Now if someone like Ferguson or Mike Hawkins did it (just throwing names out there), I'd be more upset.
