At least 10 vehicles and 7 construction workers on the bridge, and your response is that's awesome??! What a garbage fucking response. Maybe just stick to posting your videos nobody watches.
The dead were already dead before I posted. They are still dead now. My posting R.I.P. wasn't going to save one single life. Period. Before crapping on another member here, you should understand. I am still recovering and my emotions don't always match the situation. If I see a tragedy in a good mood, my response will be different from a depressed mood. I am in a great mood this morning. And the video of the bridge collapse was awesome to see, just like in a movie. I posted what I saw. You post what you want. Supposedly it's a free forum. Apparently... not if you are different. One last thing. If you don't like me or my posts. Intelligent people use the ignore function... Edit: You care for Ukrainians, yet turn a blind eye to Palestinians being starved to death by our ally Israel. If you can do that, you are nothing more than a callous hypocrite yourself.
Ive not seen anything written or in videos, if there were tugs assisting? One of the reasons tugs are used in ports to to guide ships at a safe and accurate pace.
Just read where the the three tugs were on the way, so ship was not assisted. Three tugs with big power and most do now days may/would have helped contain the run a way ship.
Search and rescue is ongoing in the water. Infrastructure of our country was destroyed. The city of Baltimore is going to suffer economically from this, surely. If you think a tragedy like this is awesome, you should just watch some planned implosion events or something. Sly joking about Boeing is probably in bad taste too, but at least it was funny. Your post was celebrating American deaths. Wow.
Intelligent people don't take pleasure in tragedy.....or make excuses when they exercise poor judgment.
I don't know Baltimore very well, but from what I have read, it sounds like this would be the equivalent of the Markham bridge or maybe the I-5 bridge being destroyed.
How quaint, ones emotions explain how someone responds to something. I should use that excuse when I yell "Yahtzee" when I see a dog getting beaten.
Not really. The FSK bridge has about 30K cars per day, Marquam has 140K per day, Fremont about 101K. Hell, Ross Island has 60K a day. Based on usage, I'd say it's more like the Sellwood, Steel, Hawthorne or Broadway. Not discounting the importance of the bridge there, it is because there are far fewer bridges across that body of water.
The original meaning of the word would seem to be applicable. But most people use awesome to basically mean "badass."
Danish shipping giant Maersk has dropped Baltimore from all its services following Tuesday's horror bridge collapse, which caused the company to suffer over a three percent share price drop. Hours after the cargo ship struck Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge overnight, sparking massive rescue efforts, the company said it will stop servicing the Port of Baltimore 'for the foreseeable future.' 'Due to the damage to the bridge and resulting debris, it will not be possible to reach the Helen Delich Bentley port of Baltimore for the time being,' the company said in a statement. 'In line with this, we are omitting Baltimore on all our services for the foreseeable future, until it is deemed safe for passage through this area.'
That statement seems at the very least tone-deaf and almost a threat to officials not to penalize them too much or they won't come back. You have the immediate loss of life and you have the long-term loss of work and people's livelihoods.
