<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Ricky Williams has agreed to a one-year contract for $240,000 to play for the CFL's Toronto Argonauts this season, ESPN.com's John Clayton has learned. Williams will not have an option with the team and will be able to return to the Dolphins next season. The Argonauts have called a 4:30 p.m. ET news conference to announce a "major signing."The Miami Herald, citing a source close to the Argos, had earlier reported that the Dolphins would allow Williams to play for Toronto s long as they have it in writing that he will be released at the end of the CFL season. The Argonauts secured Williams' CFL rights when the running back was suspended for a year by the NFL for violating the league's substance abuse policy. The team's training camp starts Sunday, and the team opens its regular season June 16. The Dolphins had been reluctant to let Williams play in Canada due to the risk of injury, but apparently relented. Williams has three children and a fourth on the way and has reportedly earned $270,000 since December 2003, the Herald reported. He owes the Dolphins $8.6 million for breaching his contract when he retired in 2004."We want Ricky back on our team," Dolphins coach Nick Saban told the Herald earlier this month. "Ricky doesn't need to go to Canada to prove anything to us." But Saban also said the Dolphins would "give him the opportunity to do it if it's something that he needed to do or really wanted to do."Williams rushed for 743 yards and six touchdowns last season.http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2461281</div>
Wow. I figured he would have no interest in playing for the CFL...guess he is taking the challange to prove himself.

Pretty cool though.

The Dolphins reached an agreement with the Argonauts with it written in paper that he will be released after the CFL season, and im not sure if the CFL does have a drug testing policy at all.

I guess they meant WITHOUT THE DOLPHINS PERMISSION. But they didnt specify that.
The Dolphins have to be feeling pretty awkward about this. He's staying in shape and playing football but there's such a high chance that he could get hurt. He's going to be a celebrity up there and he can get away with anyhting he wants basically.

He is going to dominate up there.

It's written into the CBA that they are allowed to test players who have failed a drug test up to 10 times a month.
