<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The May organized team activities (OTAs) and practices are now over and are more newsworthy than would ordinarily be the case. The Titans are making some changes to their defense this year. The changes reflect more of an attempt to match the best systems to their personnel than a sweeping change in philosophy.Tennessee will play more man coverage and less zone than last year. That?s not big news, it?s rather predictable and expected after all the cover-2 last season with rookies on the corners. But it?s noteworthy nonetheless. This does fit in more with Jeff Fisher?s preference to play man defense, given the right personnel. The Titans are doing away with the traditional strong safety and free safety positions and will go with right and left safeties, who will each have the same basic responsibilities for their respective sides of the field. Lamont Thompson and Chris Hope won?t flip-flop except for certain coverage packages, when they?ll play strong and free. The same applies to the linebackers. Instead of strongside and weakside backers, they?ll be simply left and right LBs.When you think about it, there?s a lot of sense to it. Keith Bulluck and David Thornton are both quick outside guys who would normally play weakside as their natural position but can play either, especially Thornton. Thompson and Hope are both natural free safeties but can play either spot. These changes were also a major factor in some of the Titans? draft decisions, as they went with players best suited to fill these roles. Calvin Lowry was taken ahead of Ko Simpson because Lowry has the versatility to multitask safety responsibilities while Simpson was viewed as mostly just a free safety. Terna Nande could backup on either side at OLB.</div>
This will work out really well for Pacman, not so well for whoever ends up playing opposite him this year. If we're going to play man-to-man a majority of the time, Ty Law would be a great addition. I won't be looking foward to Reynaldo Hill and/or Andre Woolfolk lining up man-to-man.

Although on my other posts, I have shown that I do not agree with most of Pacman's actions, I would still play/pick him over Hill or Woolfolk. Ty Law would be a TREMENDOUS ADDITION!

PacMan with really be able to showcase his man to man coverage skills with this new defense. Now the only thing we need to change is to blitz more.
