I don't agree with that, but it doesn't matter. Most of those stats I posted were net impact stats factoring both offense and defense. As poor as Dame's defense is, the plus value of his elite offense has always far outpaced the minus value of his defense.

I sure hope both Dame and Milwaukee realize there is no logical reason for him to risk further injury

If he tears his achilles, that will be it. He'll be done.

He’s done this year anyway. No need to risk further injury at all.

That's my point. But I'm saying if he keeps playing and tears it, that might end his career.

    Embiid playing injured too

Nba policy about regular season star participation may be to blame

Nah, can't have it both ways. Injuries happen. Play the stars fuck all that other noise.

The NBA product has already deteriorated. Anyone arguing that the stars should play even less than they already do is insane.

Hate to say it but looks like we may have dodged a bullet with Dame given his contract situation and recent injury history.

Back to backs is pointless, never would schedule that if it was a new league creating an NBA schedule with modern players from scratch.

Back when they first created the schedule many basketball players smoked, none of them played with the athleticism or intensity of the modern game.

What should the season be? 60 games? 52 games?

Too many games in middle school, high school, college… too much training, too much pressure. The mileage on players by the time they hit the NBA is closer to a ten year vet from 1984. There’s too much money flowing in and out of the league for it to get better. It will only get worse.

I think it's the bizarre traveling schedule more than the 82 games...if they had to win the division before moving up in the playoff competition, the games would mean more during the regular season. The travel would be more sensible one would think anyway

Jordan, Stockton etc played 82 almost every year and went deep in playoffs and had no problem.

You just have to take care of your body. Take a rest day every week. Roll out. Make sure your knees and legs are strong and balanced.

There's a theory that changing sports throughout the year is actually less damage on the body than playing the same sport year round.

I don't understand it, but it kinda makes sense. Repetitive use on the same joints, esp at the repetition these guys do it, isn't good. Sure, you'll get unicorns who last for 15-20 years now-a-days, but most of the guys are usually not unicorns.

Is there any point to continue this experiment next season? It sure was bad luck with Gianis and Dame injuries, but will Bucks let them try another season?

Giving up after one isn’t really trying?
New chemistry and a fired coach midway with injuries to all three Middleton Giannis and Lillard didn’t give them much a chance.
