Not remotely similar. Israel receieves more aid from U.S. than Germany ever did. You already have former generals who said Israel would have to stop without U.S. weapons. I wouldn't count on this being a good faith effort by Biden anyways when he has said repeatedly, that they could do anything and there is no red line. This is more Biden trying to save face with his base than actually trying to stop further bloodshed.
I don't claim to know Biden's intentions. I also don't trust his intentions. But yes I agree, these examples aren't remotely similar. This is a much more complicated and tumultuous situation.
... Hamas did not accept the deal Blinken was referring to, so... Next time you're selling your house maybe the person buying your house should negotiate with an unrelated person in another city on the terms of the sale. That's the deal Hamas accepted.
We can do better, and we should strive to do so. But overall, US policies have helped the vast majority of the world live healthier, longer, and happier lives. Life Expectancy By World Region, 1950-2050 According to United Nations estimates, average life expectancy at birth is projected to exceed 80 years in most regions by 2050. Improved global living conditions mean we are, for the most part, living better and longer lives than ever before — and few things illustrate just how far we've come, like looking back at life expectancies of the past. Based on the 2022 United Nations Revision of World Population Prospects, Visual Capitalist's Marcus Lu charted the average life expectancy at birth in selected global regions from 1950 and 2000, as well as projections for 2050. Asia, Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean had the lowest life expectancies overall in 1950, at 42, 49 and 38 years, respectively. By 2000, however, that number had risen to 68 years in Asia and 71 years in Latin America and the Caribbean — while Africa's life expectancy had crept up to just 53 over the same period. According to estimates by the UN, average life expectancy at birth is projected to surpass 80 years in most global regions by 2050 — but not in Africa, where, by that time, it's projected to climb to just 68 years. Distribution of population between different poverty thresholds, World, 1820 to 2018 This data is adjusted for inflation and for differences in the cost of living between countries. Dataafter 1981 relates to household income or consumption surveys collated by the World Bank;before 1981 it is based on historical reconstructions of GDP per capita and inequality data.
The deal was always changing - the latest iteration had Blinken offering assurances. Hamas called Bibi's bluffs (he was never going to stop) and now the whole world knows Israel's (and the U.S.') word is absolutely worthless. Barbarians.
LMAO what in the name of white savior shit is this? Life expectancy was always going to go up with the evolution of science and technology. U.S. does not have a monopoly on that.) The U.S. has ripped out democratically elected leaders and installed their own right wing theocrats which have created such instability around the world. That's why immigration is so prevalent. So many nations are unlivable because of our intervention. You should look at all the nations they've destroyed instead of looking for something that would only confirm your beliefs.
Any terrorist organization that holds hostages and uses innocent people as a human shield to wage a war, simply needs to be eradicated, like cancer. They not only have been holding Jewish hostages but the citizens of GAZA. Once that is done, watch a peace between Israel and Abrab countries through rebuilding with prosperity. Hamas are worse than barbarians, rather, Jihadist terrorist on a quest to annihilate Israel and America. Death to Israel and America, River to the Sea. All in the name of the god, and Iran.
I agree with all of that. But Israel targeting civilians is 100% wrong and the leaders who made those decisions should be prosecuted.
Source please? Hamas agreed to a deal proposed by Egypt and Qatar. Not Israel or the US. Israel did not agree to that deal. In fact they publicly denounced it.
I agree Hamas needs to be gone but if in the process of eradicating the cancer, you kill all the healthy tissue you kill the patient. Israel needs to be surgical, not homicidal.
Hamas was born out of Israel's terrorism of Palestinians, for over 100 year now. Calling Hamas a terrorist group without including Israel in that category as well, is seemingly overlooking history.
It doesn't matter if they are involved. Just because Hamas, Egypt, and Qatar agree to a deal amongst themselves that doesn't mean Israel agrees to it.
I believe they are attempting to be as surgical as possible. Thats why it's taken so long, it's terrible this had to happen but Iran Religious Fucks dont give a shit. I would expect that once its over that this area will be rebuilt by Arab & US help and the people will be freed from Irans/Hamas grip.
