There have been a couple goals scored by the Canes on plays started by lofting the puck way up the air into the Rangers zone. Lindgren should have been able to bat that one down and out of the zone but mistimed his jump and it bounced off his glove then he takes a tripping call setting up their first PP goal of the series. Back to MSG.
What can you do, not going to win every game. I take the positives from this game, terrible start had them in a 3-1 hole, and yet they battled back again to tie it at 3 and fell a little short late. Law of averages said the Canes were going to score on the PP at some point. To me you really cannot be too upset about this game, played reasonably well after the 1st period against a desperate team in their building, came out sloppy and the Canes were full of emotion. Very difficult to sweep a series, especially against a very good team. I am not upset, disappointed, but not upset. Moving forward, need to end this Monday night in game 5. If the Canes get that win, then things get tight, and we have a series. Rangers need to show up ready to go and take the next two days of all the love Carolina will get, and I am sure they will be the favorite Monday night as well and use that to help us be the fired-up team back at home to close it out in 5.
