They started well but it was still just single shot efforts. The entire team played with absolutely no killer instinct. Anderson had it very easy in this one.

If we are going to play like this then we 100% shouldn’t win this series, forget this game. Lavy better be careful because he is pulling a Gallant here making no in game changes, showing no emotion, holding no one accountable with these bullshit cross ice passes.

We have no emotion, no one wants to throw a hit. Other than the Trouba hit, did we throw a single check?

These guys are playing for Drury's job now. He doesn't survive them losing this series IMO.

This is going 7. And unless Lavy can light a fire under these guys, we will be blowing a 3-0 series lead.

Game changed when we were short handed and Z had a chance to shoot and instead he held the puck and turned it over. That was the beginning of the end for us. This team is so afraid to shoot and fail that instead they just doesn’t and fail. Fucking morons have no balls.

Failed pp's pretty much left the door wide open, but I guess Carolina didn't convert any either.

It was a completely dead effort all around. They looked like the team facing elimination instead of being aggressive. This was embarrassing.

No, teams facing elimination play with heart. They played like it was game 5 of the regular season, not game 5 of the second round of the playoffs with a chance to put it away. We have gone back to the Rangers we always are in the playoffs…unable to make life easy on ourselves and instead make a series that should be over go 7.

Well, we are back to old school Rangers. Like the games against the Devs in the playoffs last year, or TB the year before, or the 2015 ECF, the list of lackluster no shows in big spots is very long for this franchise.

You know what though, I am not going to go into a long-drawn-out commentary like I usually do, it isn't worth it over how they played tonight or how they have played the past two games. I'll make this simple, either the Rangers man up and get back to playing tight in their own zone, and SHOOTING THE DARN PUCK, and their stars actually showing up like they did the first 7 playoff games, or they will become only the 5th team in NHL HISTORY to blow a 3-0 lead, that is 100% on the table now.

They get an extra day off, but high odds are this will go 7, and going into that game losing 3 straight and collapsing, not great odds the Rangers all of the sudden turn it around in a game 7. Tonight was the night to me, and they didn't show. Sad. We'll see what this team is truly made of in game 6.

BTW - the worst thing that could have happened was Chytil coming back for game 3, and then going out again. Players are human like we all are and look how deflated we were after we found out he was out game 4 (and now game 5), it was a blow. If he never came back no one would have said boo. Not why we have lost two straight, but sad as it sounds, it was the worst possible situation for Chytil to come back just to go out again. Not good for morale.

Think about this one, go back over the past 10 years in the playoffs, how many times can you make that statement, especially at home It is a lot.
