They all have a lot more going for them under Biden than under Trump or any other Republican, that's for sure.
There are literally more homeless and more OD deaths than ever, right now at this moment, than there were during orange person’s reign. More suicides too, a problem that affects veterans particularly hard. So no, all those people aren’t better off. They are verifiably worse off in a very tangible, provable way.
We were told Trump would start nuclear WW3 if elected and that didn’t happen either. Turns out politicians will say anything.
Actually US economy did very poorly during pandemic, including stock market, but much better during recovery.
Who said that? Most of the unbelievable stuff I heard about Trump during the run up to 2016 (which I didn't believe, and thought was just political gamesmanship) wound up being true or worse... I don't remember any serious politicians claiming that he'd start WW3.
This is true, but compared to the rest of the world we still faired better. We have so many built-in advantages that we almost literally can't fail.
No he actually told his minions that their 401k would go to hell. I don’t remember Biden ever saying WW3 would breakout if Trump were elected.
Except they don’t. A problem getting exponentially worse isn’t a sign of that very problem being somehow better. Not sure how you are saying this with any level of seriousness right now. This is you saying a thing just to say a thing. Means nothing and is easily disproven.
Well alot of people’s have, to be fair. And if you didn’t pay much attention to the news the last 8 or so years that is fine (I mean that earnestly, you skipped alot of unnecessary nonsense). But that was a common threat among the left, along with many other silly things. Now here we are involved in multiple wars and funding a genocide.
Oh you want to talk turkey. Okay, let's get serious then. What specific policy (or policies) has Biden championed and enacted that made these things worse (for the people you're claiming have it worse) than under Trump?
No, that's not fair at all. You can't say "randos on the internet said this, so that's comparable to a presidential candidate saying it" barfo
Can't stand trump but Id say Joe hasn't taken the lead with immigration and it's gotten worse over the last few years. Not totally his fault but he's the President.
Anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of history knows that the great dustbowl depression displaced more Americans than any time in history other than the native american trail of tears..or see.the aftermath of any WW or the Civil War of Viet Nam conflict....if you think this current era is bad, you've got a really skewed idea about the state of the world post pandemic. There was homelessness in this country since it became a country. I think maybe you enjoy a dystopian view of humanity by the way you throw these quasi or largely exaggerated digs into conversations...this thread is about 401ks. The homeless traditionally don't camp downtown ...that has changed...I've always seen them when I go fishing in the woods.
Even if we assume that's true what does that have to do with the homeless, OD, or suicide rates that @jonnyboy brought up?
