I'm utterly shocked we have a 3 game lead in the division right now even this early.

Moore will start hitting .120 again but he carried us these last few games.

Julio is just in a bad bad funk. Has to be the most disappointing player in the entire league so far. Simply swings at horrible horrible pitches. Mentally he is not there.

At least they added some bullpen help.

Sophomore slump was supposed to be last year. At least he has 120 games to figure it out.

He's batting sixth in the order today. It's happening too late in my opinion. Last year when they moved him out of the leadoff spot is when he started to take off. Servias definitely makes some head scratchers sometimes.

meh, this team needs a complete rebuild offensively. not a single hitter in the top 50. They are kind of a joke to have high quality pitching but just shit on offense. Just 2 HR for the "superstar" Julio. The owner simply doesnt give two shits about winning.

Polanco is a career .270 hitter. Shows up in Seattle and his batting average drops 100 points. FIRE someone, anyone. Time to say goodbye Mr. Moose. Need to pay for better coaches.

    Winker, Frazier, Polanco, Jeff Cirillo…

Mariners have had a propensity to acquire guys who sniffed an All Star game once. Became mariners and sucked again.

my bro-in-law grew up in Tacoma. He said the bats usually don't heat up until the summer. Wasn't August of last year a huge month? Catapulted a run at the playoffs if i remember.

Now's a good time to bring in some new arms. Give the rotation a few rests. Then if/when the batting warms up, both forces can string wins together.

Gabe Speier is pushing 20 era in May. He was throwing wicked pitches up until this month. Did the mojo in his mullet/goatee combo stop working?

In my experience as a Mariners fan since about 2000, the team can be good at one thing. hitting or pitching. I don't know why but just one of the other, for the most part. It's when teams pair top 5-15 or less O and D they are way more successful.

Also, baseball is a long sport and Julio will figure it out (despite him already being our top hitter). If he doesn't then well, we are the Mariners and would be the team to get that albatross of a contract. Though I think that's unlikely.

I am feeling a sweep by WSH and another by HOU. Plenty of AAA guys could bat 190 in the bigs. Half of the roster should just be dfa

Late game bats have at least been nice.
