Kyrie is a head case but his talent making shots is unbelievable so I'll be interested to watch that.

Luka is possibly the best player in the league so want to see how he performs. I like the Brandon Roy comparisons, interesting to daydream of if Roy had been healthy. Amazing that Luka can get the elite offense for himself or teammates without Durant/Curry shooting nor other stars athleticism.

The rest of the Dallas roster is interesting that it's a collection of basically all bench role players but able to function as a legit contender.

Jrue is such a fun two way player. Honestly question if he is more of a winning player than Dame ever could be. I think you could plug him on any contending roster and greatly improve it. Dame only could help a couple teams.

If Porzingis can stay healthy he's a unique talent to watch.

Pretty cool to see Al Horford still so effective at 38, filling in big minutes, either off the bench or as needed starting. He was drafted with Oden all those years ago.

Boston is so excellent defensively their a great team to watch. It starts with their stars, when your stars are excellent two way players like Tatum and Brown it makes it so easy to construct an elite roster as well as a great defense.

Blazers have that unprotected 2029 Boston pick so it would be nice for them to contend a few more years, not develop any young talent, get in luxury tax hell. By 2029 Tatum and Brown will have many years on a supermax and they won't be able to afford Jrue/White/Porzingis level supporting cast. Then they will likely be forced to break up their team so that pick to us is hopefully in the lottery.

"Means you don't need a lengthy rebuild"

Nah, you just need a generational talent and a headcase thar somehow works well with that generational talent.

    Should be easy.

This week-long break between games is going to help the Mavs.

no worries. The Blazers are pushing for a lengthy lengthy lengthy rebuild. Add shoe height to create even more length.

If only Phil could buy the team? then they could really impress with shoe height issues.

Possible, but with Porzingis recovering from injury and 38 year old Horford maybe it benefits Boston more.

I was thinking about Porzingas as well. Didn't think about Horford or Holiday?

All the Wizards had to do was trade for Ky, draft Lively, and trade for PJ! No lengthy rebuild needed.

I was leaning Dallas despite dislike for Texas because Boston has a zillion titles. Like rooting for the fucking Yankees. Recently learned Mark Cuban is now minority owner. Majority owner is Rebekah Adelson, a major Trump donor.

    Go Celtics.

Last call for basketball. ABC has the coverage. Game 1 begins at 5:30. I've learned to turn the volume way down if Doris Burke is on the yap mic ... it helps
