that's fair. I think I was trying to get at that when I said Clingan was more reactive.

I don't have much problem with Edey at 14. I'd be much happier with Edey at 14 than Clingan at 7

I think Portland has to swing for the fences with a 7th pick; and that's not a drop-cover C

Really wish he weren't such a shitty rebounder. That's my main beef with Jerami. I'd rather have Tristan da Silva if we're forced to have a Colorado player. After all the complaints about Kris Murray I didn't think we'd be clamoring to draft the worse brother again.

I think he can becometh of a good rebounder. And Cody Williams very well could become better than his brother. He’s projected at a higher draft slot

Robin Lopez, Seth Curry, Harvey Grant... Have we ever had the better brother? I don't think CJ counts, as his brother played in China or whatever.

Blocking shots is THE MOST important job of a center, and Clingan is not just better than Edey, he's ELITE at it. Meanwhile, being a great low post player just isn't valuable in today's NBA unless you're also elite at everything else (Jokic).

    He's not elate at it.

Walker Kessler was elite at blocking shots in college.

Clingan is slightly above average. We are talking about a Steven Adams level impact player here.... Maybe a Zubac level. Not someone who should be drafted in the top 10.

Any of you watch the Sprague and Marang podcast where their resident blowhard claims that the Blazers have had 2 closed door workouts? Wonder who came in? Also referenced that Clingan hadn’t been in yet, claimed ESPN had the date wrong…

Fell asleep at some point so didn’t hear the rest of what was covered if anything.

    sidebar,

it's shocking to me how people still mistake the actual name of the franchise we all support here.

    it's Trail Blazers. Two words.

Marang said he knows of two private workouts that blazers held of draft prospects recently and Clingan is still to come

What was hyperbole? Edey actually averaged 25 points on 66 TS%. I just exchanged rebounds for assists since he's a center (and had what would have been an NBA leading rebound %). I then flipped interior and perimeter defense.

And you totally dismiss what he brings just because he's a not a guard (whom you admitted would be a very good prospect with those numbers), so you really proved my point.

If you dismiss a big man just because he won't jump out and guard 3s, you'd have to dismiss a hell of a lot of good players in nba history. I just don't get the fixation on the idea that every big man has to be able to jump out and defend mid range 2s and 3s, and therefore it doesn't matter what else they bring. It's a ridiculous mindset.

A guy who averaged 10 and 5? Do you have a full-serious response?

Seriously nobody ever says Trail in front of Blazers unless they are mocking the team and add “Fucking” in front.
In this town it’s the “Blazers”

Chet put up 14/10 compared to Edey 8/4.

Or are you comparing a 22 year old Edey to an 18 year old Chet?
